Dr. John A Lancon, MD

Dr. Lancon came highly recommended to me for surgery, and his compassion and attention to detail were refreshing. He listened to all of my questions and concerns regarding the major surgery I needed. He is personable, humble, and extremely knowledgeable. He presented a treatment plan and explained each step clearly. When I asked, "How many times have you performed this type of surgery?" he smiled and answered without hesitation. Today, after my fourth MRI, he came into the exam room smiling and told me there is no residual tumor! I am very thankful for Dr. Lancon and will highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr Lancon performed brain surgery on my son. He is an incredible, gifted surgeon. My son could not have been in better hands.

We were sent to Dr Lancon by another neurosurgeon that told us there was really not anything they could do for my husbands rare cyst located on his spine. After reviewing all of our records, Dr Lancon met with us and told us that he knew exactly what the problem was and where it was located. We had surgery 3 weeks ago and are doing great. This great surgeon, with the help of God guiding his hands, has given my husband his life back. Without it he would have been completely paralyzed in a matter of time. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Lancon and his amazing staff. My husband said just today “I’d do it all over again” because it was such a positive and successful surgery. My mom had back surgery in her 70’s and did so wonderful! Dr Lancon had operated on my 18 year old niece for Chiari Malformation in her brain and he was so great before, during, and after her surgery. She also did beautifully! As a ‘skeptical’ nurse myself, I would 100% recommend him for any neurosurgery issue!

Dr. Lancon was wonderful. I had been experiencing so many different symptoms. In and out of the ER for several months. No one could diagnose me except to say it was all in my head all these symptoms. My regular doctor called and told him my symptoms and sent my MRI to him He diagnosed me in a minute with Chiara Malformation. At my appointment he explained this disease to me and told me that I would need brain surgery. I wasn't scared at all. He is very confident and I felt and saw this. I never was worried. He is an awesome, compassionate surgeon. Great bedside manner as well. I would recommend him to anyone. All of the staff at the hospital said he was the best brain surgeon. Everyone has great things to say about this doctor.

I would highly recommend Dr. Lancon to anyone with a brain disorder back in 2005 he diagnosed me with a Arachnoid cyst, Jan. 2006 hr performed surgery on me God working through him he saved my life!! To this day I still say thank you!
