Dr. Lewis is the best foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon in the state! He explains everything in easy-to-understand terms and advocates for his patients at every turn. I feel blessed to have Dr. Lewis as my doctor.

Dr. Lewis repaired my complicated foot fracture in a most competent fashion. I would describe him as a surgeon’s surgeon. I am a retired gynecologic surgeon and was referred to him by my son who is an orthopedic surgeon. Not all surgeons are talented and trained the same way. I would characterize him as a Tom Brady of foot and ankle surgery.

Dr. Lewis is a fantastic orthopedist. He diagnosed my foot issue and was very straightforward and informative. My second surgery was for hardware removal and again, he was generous in his information. We both had a good laugh when I saw him after breaking the same foot he upon which he worked so hard. Great doctor.

Excellent compassionate patient care. Dr. Lewis is well trained and respectful of the patient’s concerns. Two required surgeries later, I can jog again!

Dr Lewis was very understanding and helpful. My surgery went well, I will definitely see him again, obviously. But I do highly recommend him.

Was there over 2 hours…was sent down stairs to physical therapy to get a lace up boot… only for the receptionist to tell me she was ready to leave. My experience with Louisville Orthopaedic has ALWAYS been VERY positive. Not making any judgements at this point… jury is still out. I will say my experience with his nurse practitioner Amanda was A+++ I drove 2 hours to see him a couple of weeks ago only to be told the scheduler had made a mistake and he wasn’t even there that day. Again my initial reaction was a “wait and see” The day I drove the 2 hours they told me I was there for a surgery consult… news to me… ?? When I went back I was told this again until I go back to consultation room. He knew nothing of surgery and asked me laughingly if I wanted surgery. I understand mistakes happen. In his defense I had been to a wound care doctor the day before and I was all bandaged up with an “unna” boot. So it would have been impossible for him to do a thorough evaluation. He was… very understanding and compromising. Still not sure ?? if I’m doing a follow up with him. Im sure he’s a great doctor ????? to be in the group… he just may not be a fit for me. This is not a negative review… consider it a NEUTRAL review. He was very nice.

It has been 14 months and 3 days since my surgery. I healed quickly, I was put into Physical Therapy at a normal pace following surgery and I did decent and my Therapist was pleased with my progress. I am not going to lie to you, I thought this surgery was going to show results faster. I knew going into this surgery that the healing process can take at least a year. I saw Dr Lewis the other day and my range of motion is really good. I have some pain still, I always will have some pain. My injury and four surgeries have laid down scar tissue and my arthritis, both cause my pain. Overall, I am very pleased with my surgeon and the care I receive at Louisville Orthopedic Clinic. My expectations have been met, I am 60 and realize that even though my device is new, my body is not. I am better now than I was 15 months ago. Sincerely I thank Dr Lewis for his dedication to make lives better by utilizing his expertise when other measures have failed. Sincerely Pleased...
