John K. Maesaka, MD

I worked with Dr. Maesake when I was a high school student doing nephrology research. I was fortunate to be around someone like him. He treated patients with kindness and respect. I became a dentist 15 years ago and try to model the way I treat my patients after Dr. Maesaka.

New graduates should attempt to model themselves after Dr. Maesaka. A wonderful man, a wonderful doctor, a researcher and a scholar. I cannot ask for anything more in the care of my mother as she navigates the course of end stage renal disease. If all physicians were like him, the healthcare system would be in wonderful shape.

Dr. Maesaka is one of the finest Drs. you could have. He was excellent in helping me through a difficult time. With his expertise he checked my kidneys every visit. Dr. Maesaka is a gentleman and doesn't throw you out of the office if you have somemore questions. As much as I didn't want to go on to dialysis it was the best thing he did. I did home dialysis myself and because he made me do it sooner than later I felt fine. 10 mths. later I received a kidney. He is the greatest.
