Dr. John Philip Mahaney Jr, MD

Not a surprise I guess, given the "Doctor God" thing, but I had a very unpleasant experience, and not for the first time in this office. Over six weeks of supposedly coordinating with a drug manufacturer, phone calls,paperwork to be filled out faxed to the doctor's office, the company telling me, as the the drug was very expensive and I had already been forced to pay out of pocket once, called to arrange that, they only had a little, so had to schedule emergency appointment (ha) in the meantime with another of their doctors (equally unpleasant) to get another very small supply of samples, when I finally met with Doctor Mahaney, it was clear that neither he, nor his nurse had the slightest idea what was going on. The nurse nastily virtually accused me of "drug seeking."I have no idea whether this medical nightmare was due to lack of organization and communication (due patients have different un-connected charts with different doctors?--unheard of, or, more likely are they simply not… bothering to enter information. For whatever reason, r. Mahaney was clearly irritated by the fact that I expected things to have been done (6 weeks, remember)told me there were no samples, and when I asked him what had happened to the ones that someone had called and told me were ready to be picked up--once again absolutely no ability, apparently, to figure out who that was, yada, yada, he finally, after more nastiness from his nurse, grudgingly came up with another small supply of samples
