Dr. John Jacob Marks, MD

I have been with Dr Marks since I was 15! That's 24 years. I recommend him to every one. Office is super clean and nothing like a medical office. It's so comfortable and beautiful thanks to his wife. Dr. Marks is attentive and thorough but not invasive or pushing with meds and tests etc. He truly cares. He saw me distraught at a coffee shop and immediately offered concern and after speaking with me asked me to come in to the office and helped me when the origin problem was not under his medical care. I have sent many friends and parents of teens. All have been very happy with him. I definitely recommend. 5 stars isn't high enough on most of the questions below. Only complaint is he doesn't do prenatal and delivery.

I have both had him as my preventive care physician and as a family doctor, I refer my patients to him!

Provides Exceptional care, is very knowledgable, has genuine concern for patients, and exhibits true professionalism.

Stay away from him....he doesn't care about the problem that brought you to his office and they are condescending when you try to explain what is wrong with you...he should not have a license to practice medicine....

Dr. John Marks is an exceptional physician! I have been going to him for 7 years now and I couldn't be more pleased with him or his practice. Everything about the visit, from the ease of appointments, the atmosphere of the office, the attention and personal detail in obtaining my medical history (all done personally, not just written out by the patient), the comfort of the entire procedure, how detailed the explanation of what will happen, the procedure, and the follow-up are all AMAZING! I only wish Dr. Marks could handle ALL of my medical needs. This is what doctors should all strive to be with regard to their patients and within their practices.

I'm new to NC and needed to find an OB/GYN - Wow thanks to the reviews of Dr. Marks I decided to dig a little deeper and check his credentials, his education and how long he'd been in practice. I called the office and talked to Alison who was/ is an absolute charm. Everytime I called I got an answer. If I left a message for Dr. Marks to call me back he did. No matter how many questions I asked, he answered, I didn't feel rushed at all. My office visits we're always on time, the staff was always polite and professional. Dr. Marks is the very nice, gentle, knowledgeable, understanding, kind and Professional!! OMGoodness what a God send, I pray for continued success and blessings for Dr. Marks. I just love Dr. Marks. I have been going to him since 2008. He is the nicest person I know. If I have any problem, he takes me quickly and always puts my mind at ease.His office atmosphere is wonderful. You don't get anxious because you're in a sterile environment, like other doctors' offices. He has music playing, and silk dressing gowns and his office is decorated beautifully, with wonderful music piping into each room. He really knows his profession. He is compassionate and understanding.I would highly recommend Dr. Marks to anyone.

I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Marks on the recommendation of another physician and have to say, I am so grateful for the referral!I had a tubal ligation performed and the surgery went off without a hitch. I have very little discomfort and the incisions are completely hidden in my belly button.I felt at ease and knew I was in good hands the entire time.Now that I know this kind of doctor is out there, I'll never again settle for hours of waiting and rude/dismissive bedside manners.Dr. Marks and his wife are what we all hope for when we make an appointment, caring, patient and highly skilled practitioners.Once you go, you'll see for yourself!

Dr Marks and his staff are the best! I've worked in the health care field for 30+ years and have yet to come across a more skilled and compassionate provider.

I love Dr. Marks and his staff. When I call to make an appointment they know who I am and can get me in right away for an appointment. If I have a question, Dr. Marks calls me back in a timely manner. I never wait ( I think 2 minutes at the most) and I never feel rushed during my appointment. It is rare to find a pratice like this now-a-days. The office has a spa like feel and is very welcoming and relaxing. It is a smal office with friendly & professional staff that have been there for years. Dr. Marks is very kind and cares about his patients.
