Please, research Dr. Mast's history with butchered surgeries before entrusting him with your, or your loved ones, life. Our family has had to endure multiple other surgeries attempting to repair the damage that he caused. Many surgeons were shocked at how poor of a job was done. They couldn't even fathom how any decent could have caused as much damaged as he did in this case. Our family was informed by others only after our experience with him that they, or their family members, had similar experiences. Surgery is a complicated process, but the things that have had happened under his care, were negligent, and could have been avoided. I'll put it this way: Years after this butchered surgery, my mother went to the ER for emergency gallbladder removal. Dr Mast was the on call surgeon. My family refused to have him perform this procedure. The nurses working that night nodded in agreement... They knew we were making the right call before we even had to explain our history with this surgeon.… You KNOW something is wrong when your own staff does not support you.

He took out my gallbladder. It was the first surgery I'd ever had and he could tell I was a little freaked out about it. He explained things very well and has a bedside manner of gentle compassion. It really gave me great confidence in him, and looking back I can see it was not misplaced. The surgery went well and the post surgery appointment was really great. HIs follow up is really awesome. He called me at home two days later to see how I was. Such service! I barely have scars - he kept the stitches small and neat. His office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about insurance. I know if I ever need another surgery this is the doctor I will contact.
