Dr. John James Mercuri, MD

Dr. John James Mercuri is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement and complex revision surgery. Born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, he returned home to provide advanced joint replacement care after training at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, the NYU Langone Health Orthopedic Hospital (formerly Hospital for Joint Diseases), and the Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Manhattan.Dr. Mercuri performs hundreds of hip and knee replacements each year, and he has built his practice around modern, personalized joint replacement surgery using advanced technologies such as computer navigation, augmented reality and robotics. He has particular expertise in subvastus kinematic alignment for knee replacement and personalized implant positioning for hip replacement.
