Dr. John Philip Mesmer, MD

If I could give zero stars I would! Dr John Mesmer is absolute garbage and a liar! He smiled in mine and my husbands face and said he was ok. Said his lungs were clear and in fact, found out yesterday he has a node on his lung! He’s been scheduled with a different, caring and concerned doctor for a pet scan! So if you like being lied to your face and given less than 5 minutes of his uncaring time, he’s your man. You’d have better luck with a witch doctor in Guatemala, he’d probably care more and not lie to your face. He really needs to work on a different field if this is all he has to offer. If you care about your hospital, you really should reconsider your selection of emergency room doctors. I can promise you, he’s doing more harm than good for your patients.

He explained everything in detail answered all my questions and didn’t treat me like I was a number.

Extremely good care. Extremely bad migraine, he listened and treated me with compassion and care.

Dr Mesmer is an excellent physician.

Dr. Mesmer listened to my concerns with compassion. He ordered tests and diagnosed my problem after a thorough examination and history. He explained the next steps and provided time for any questions to be addressed. Should I have to return to the ER for anything, I hope to be treated by Dr. Mesmer.

Is there any one in upper management or the CEO who cares to read these reviews? We experienced the same "mistreatment" at Park West Medical Center ER from Dr John P. Mesmer. He wasn't in our room for more than a minute. My wife had fallen and fractured her jaw. He diagnosed her with an oral infection even after we told him what had happened. I've never seen anyone so unprofessional, rude, uncaring in my 50 years of life. HOW IS THIS GUY PRACTICING IN AN ER WHEN HE IS A PEDIATRICIAN!!! PATHETIC AND DISCUSTING!!

Had to go to the ER as directed by another Dr. He was very rude and unprofessional, uncaring and only seen him a total of 5 min!! Not everyone is there due to drugs! He needs to learn how to treat people.. I get the drug eppidemic but NOT everybody is there for that reason. I was admitted and had emergency surgery the very next morning and i dont think i;; ever forget how degrading he made me feel!! Karma will come back on him one day.

Bedside manner similar to Dr. House but not nearly as bright. Lazy man who doesn't even take a history before arriving at a mis-diagnosis and discharging the patient with little or no treatment. So uncaring.

I don't think that there are words to describe how unprofessional and uncaring this pathetic excuse of a dr is. After having to wait in the ER for 4 hours hoping to see someone with sympathy we get stuck with this guy. He spent all of 45 seconds in the room with us and asked what we wanted him to do about it. Then left and didn't say a word, we had to page the nurse just to see if we were suppose to leave and come to find out he was already in the next room with another pt. As I stated before... pathetic excuse of a human being, a complete waste of space.
