Dr. John J. Michalisin Jr., MD

I see another review pointing out how odd it is Dr. Michalisin has received so many positive reviews, and I'd have to agree. In terms of his ability to check the necessary boxes in terms of referral, he is competent. Unfortunately, I haven't spoken with a medical doctor so dismissive in my life. I'm confused how someone with years of practice could lack such patience or much genuine understanding of the frustration involved in chronic neck pain and surgery complications. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, but he demonstrated clearly he is not a person I would ever trust with the sensitive arena of pain conditions again, and recommend anyone else to avoid/find someone else if they felt what I experienced.

He asked me to come back several times but in the end, he just referred me to another physician and to physical therapy, that's it.

Dr.Michalisin charged me several thousand of dollars, he referred me another physician and to physical therapy, that's it. He wasn't responsive to any follow up emails.

I was very pleased to see Dr. Michalisin I a very short period of time we had a viable plan for my ailment. Looking forward to working more him.

Dr Michalisin is kind, patient, thorough and knowledgeable. He spent time listening to my issues and really heard me! He made a plan to help me and I feel confident in his care. Highly recommend.

Dr. Michalisin was the first doctor who actually listened to me. He listened as I described my pain issues with patience and intent, and he helped me come up with a plan to work toward healing. I had met with two orthopedists, a physiatrist, and three physical therapists, but Dr. Michalisin was the first person who listened with care. I felt so comfortable with him, and I would highly recommend him if you are experiencing pain.

My visit with Dr. Michalisin was excellent. During both of my visits (separate visits), one for back pain and the other for knee pain, he was very knowledgeable and was able to pinpoint what muscles were causing the pain. He than gave me different treatment options, either with medicine or holistic treatment because I expessed wanting to avoid medicine if possible. I have been to see Dr Michalisin at the Pain Center multiple times for treatment and followup visits. I've never had to wait, and the staff is consistently pleasant and helpful. Dr Michalisin actively listens and patiently answers all questions. I highly recommend him. He's one of a handful of doctors who authentically cares about his patients.
