Dr. Mickle operated on my son in 1986, the doctor's Including Dr. Mickle, he had 3 operations in a month, and he is now 37 and had to beautiful daughters, Dr. Mickle was an awesome, sweet, caring doctor, they didn't think he would love and if he lived they didn't think he would every walk or talk, if you didn't know he had so many surgeries you wouldn't believe it to look at him today, my husband and I and our families was so blessed to have such a caring, awesome Dr., Love & prayers The Neisler family

When I was about 9 I had a craniopharyngioma. Dr. Mickle removed it. He was so kind and funny and made me feel comfortable. I was very curious about what he was going to do. He explained everything and then I wasn’t afraid. I was excited because he told me after the surgery I would start growing! I am 37 now and 5’6”. Thank you Dr. Mickle! Jennifer Engel (now Jones) ??

My son had an aneurysm repaired and a VP shunt placed in his head when he was just six months old and I thank the Lord he was there with his gifted hands. My son is now 30 years old and thriving. ??

My son had his surgery when he was two months and then four months. We went back when he was five years old due to his shunt getting infected. He will be thirty-two this year. Doctor told us he recommended academics over athletics. He also reassured us we should treat our son like any other child. He gave us peace in a difficult time. Our son has two Masters and is working on his Doctorate. Our experience at Shands was excellent! We appreciate all involved.

He saved my life when I was 21 now I am 50. By far the best surgeon I have ever met. He came to see me at the hospital the night before my surgery because I was hysterical with fear because he was performing craniotomy on me. He comforted me then came back the next morning and saved my life.

I was in Dr. Mickle's care from the time I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus in 1986 until about 2001, when he retired... I love him so much that I named my first child after him.

He performed brain surgery on my stepdaughter years ago and he is the most amazng individual I've ever met. His bedside manner and expertise on Moya Moya was extensive and saved her life.
