Dr. John Mikel Hubanks

I have seen 5-star reviews of this doctor but, in my case, that is not forthcoming. Given my experience with this doctor I cannot in good conscience/faith recommend him to anyone. He did not resolve my issues that had to do with the prostate, bladder & kidney function. He just kept ordering repetitive testing, looking for obstructions that clearly did not exist, application of stents that may have exacerbated the problem, never once recommending reducing the size of the prostate, and wanting to perform some extraneous surgery on the bladder which I refused, and in the final analysis he recommended I take two medications & that ended our doctor/patient experience. I have since moved on to another Urologist who more appropriately diagnosed my particular situation, established a game plan to resolve my issues, (reduction in size of prostate was recommended) is working closely with my Nephrologist and so far I am doing much better. I gave a FAIR rating instead of the lowest rating… since he did prescribe two meds that provided some relief.
