Untrustworthy! Condescending! Long story for me, but I would NEVER go to him or take a loved one!

Dr Nanfro in our eyes is the best doctor you can find in the fight against cancer. He saved my wife's life. He really spends time with you and leaves no stone unturned and his knowledge is unsurpassed by any other doctor we meet. He truly cares about you and your health. God Bless him for everything he does.

Ive been seeing all manner of specialists in the last few years,no one could put thier finger on exactly what was wrong,and thankfully,my GP sent me to Dr Nanfro,who pretty much pinpointed the problem right away..Besides being a good Dr,,hes just a good human being,funny,and down to earth,and so darn smart...Hes retiring,and i hate it,becausehe really is the best.

It is always a pleasant visit.

Misdiagnosed me , sent me to another Dr had expensive tests. Went to another Dr who immediately found blood clots . Almost died and Nanfro would not even see me

My overall experience of dealing with Dr. Nanfro is through his treatment of my spouse for Leukemia and then Lung Cancer. I have made the following judgment based on my experience of having accompanied her on every visit that she has made over the past seven and one half years. I came from the era of when the family physician made house calls when the patient was too sick to travel to his office. The physician would visit the patient's home carrying a black leather bag.I have known many physicians and specialist over the years and I consider Dr. Nanfro as one of the best that I have ever know. He is a credit to his profession in all respects -- from caring about his patients to his superb medical knowledge.

I was a basket case when I first went to see Dr. Nanfro. He put my fears to rest. He is a wonderful, compassionat, and intelligent man as well as a doctor. Everything in his office is designed to provide comfort and tranquility. His staff is outstanding as well. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. John Nanfro is one of the most brilliant doctors I have met in my 65 years of life. He recently diagnosed a medical issue for me that four trips to well-known medical facility failed to diagnose, which gave me back my quality of life. This diagnosis was completely above and beyond his oncology/hematolgy speciality. My original diagnosis for my type of blood cancer gave me a two year life expectency. I am currently in my fourth year of remission. Dr. Nanfro is straight forward in his consults but with compassion. He has a wonderful sense of humor, a comfortable bedside manner, and puts me at ease during every visit. He is a voracious reader and can speak on just about any medical subject. He has served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and is a Patriot. All the patients I speak with when I go for treatment think the world of Dr. Nanfro and hold him in the highest esteem. I have never heard an ill word spoken of Dr. Nanfro in the seven years that I have known him. Words… cannot describe my debt to Dr. Nanfro for giving me the quality care and extending my life so I can enjoy my family and I thank him and my God for each day.

I 2007 my husband was told by a physician that he had lung cancer. We requested to be referred to Dr. John Nanfro. When we went for his appt.,which was in the same week, Dr. Nanfro told us that according to test results, he was 95% sure that my husband had cancer, but there is 5% that he needs to be sure of. With the tests that Dr. Nanfro did, he determined that it was not cancer. My husband had lost almost all the iron in his body. Dr. Nanfro determined that my husband needed iron transfusions.

I saw Dr. Nanfro for my multiple myeloma. It was a very difficult time in my life as my husband had recently passed away. He truly helped me through everything, spent hours talking to me. I am now in remission. I cannot thank him enough. I would truly recommend him to any one faced with the life changing illness that is cancer.
