Dr. John Raymond Olenyn, MD

This is the first time I have met Dr. Olenyn and my first impression is good. He has a certain type of demeanor that can sometimes maybe come off like he doesn't care but he is more so right to the point and doesn't beat around the Bush. He explained all options and each options pros and cons and allowed us to chose the best decision for me and my families life style which I really appreciate. After surgery he explained everything again and answered everything in detail to make sure I was clear on it all, not one moment did I feel rushed or not heard. I was also given the correct amount of pain medication that was neccessary for my situation. I will leave a review for after my first post OP appt. to give another review for that appt ??

John R Olenyn is always about the patients health and happiness, he makes it very direct and to the point about what and why he is doing his service to you, and when you question the why and what for he takes the time to explain. Remember when you buy a car do you let the sale person tell you what options you would like, think about it, to those of you who elect to have surgery.

He will cut you open and care less that you are in pain. Shrugs his shoulders when i asked for pain meds. It took 4 hours for the nurses to calm me down after surgery - he left nonorders for medication and the_ couldnt reach him...he does Not care about his patients. Please dont EVER let him treat uou.

Although bedside manner was a little rough, he is an amazing surgeon, knows what he is talking about and doesn't add "fluff and filler". Thank you!!

why this man is still allowed to be a doctor? This so called doctor worked on my knee twenty plus years ago , damage he has caused is not repairable , three additional surgeries , and still in pain.

He might be an "OK" surgeon but his staff is incompetent at getting anything right. It may not be the staffs fault totally but more likely the whole McLaren organization. They can't seem to keep employees. They cannot coordinate scheduling and typically botch up paperwork, can't find records. Always seems left hand don't know what the right hand is doing. I'm fortunate that they operated on the correct leg and didn't amputate my arm instead. Steer clear. Don't say anything bad about the staff either or the doctor will retaliate and show you who's boss. Not in the best interest of the patient but more about mass production line to maximize profits/income. All about the $$$.

Dr.olenyn is a good doctor he is right to the point and does not waste your time. Very kind and understanding.

This guy saw our kid twice for 5 minutes, charged $75 and told us both times he could not help us. Avoid this idiot...I would give him 0 stars if I could
