Dr. John Anthony Paglia, MD

I had an appointment with this Doctor recently. I was late for my check in but not to my appointment. I get there 5 minutes before my appointment but failed to do my checkin. I completed it 2 minutes into my appointment and was told to reschedule by a rude lady named Julie who said the doctor said that he would not see me. I came there because I had swollen red lower legs and have a history of superficial blood clots in my leg. This doctor knew the reason for my visit and should have known my prior condition since it was in my charts from previous visits to this facility and did not care. I was forced to go to Saint Luke’s hospital which did care. They did the Doppler test and CT scans on my legs because they read my patient history which was on file and knew of my potential for blood clots. They provided the care that I needed which hopefully will prevent my situation from getting worse. I was told that had I been seen at Mountain Valley Orthopedic that I would have been sent to the… hospital immediately. Saint Luke’s cared and Doctor John Paglia did not. My advise to anyone is to think twice about even going there after what I experienced from the rude receptionist and her boss who did not care and this doctor who decided not to see me. If your health matters to you reconsider your options.

I was highly disappointed with the staff and Dr. Paglia at both the Stroudsburg and Poconos office. I was referred by my Primary Dr. to see an Orthopedic due to my condition. The staff was not Greetful and to make things worst Dr Paglia was the worst Dr I have ever seen not helpful in explaining my condition to me and so quick to refer me to have surgery before he refer me to see a pain management or other treatments options and clearly told me there was nothing else he could do for me.I Personally am glad that I will never have to see any of them again I also notice when I check the patient Portal a lot of my medical information was not correct they even have the Name of my Dr incorrect and I provided the correct info. I have never walk out of a Drs office feeling so dissatisfied as I did that day. As I said Never again

I went to see Dr. Paglia with regard to ongoing pain, swelling, lack of motion and instability in my left knee. He took and x-ray, sent me for an MRI and proceeded to take an x-ray, and sent me for mri. In condescending arrogant tone told me that I had "lots of symptoms but nothing was wrong with you. Get another opinion if you don't believe me". Well I did get another opinion and I had severe arthrofibrosis (look it up), a torn meniscus, totally lax MCL and torn MPFL. You would be better off at a veterinarian. It forced me to give a star. I wouldn't have given him anything.
