Dr. John Douglas Pappas, MD

Spent 8 days in hospital in jan. Had defibbelator implanted. Have not seen pappas since last year. They have not scheduled a follow since i was released. I have heart failure 25 percent and am not on any medication. But i will wait to see how long they will draw this out. They are suppose to be montoring my defibbelator.

I cannot express enough how great of a Doctor he is! Very knowledgeable as a doctor should be, he explained everything in detail so I couldunderstand what was going on with my heart. I was greeted with a smile and boastful hello. His bedside manner is warm and friendly, yet straight to the point. Everything a Doctor should be. If I ever have any concerns his nurse Diane and her assistant Jenny are always very helpful in getting me answers to my questions. Dr. Pappas and his team are 5 stars in my book.

I really like Dr. Pappas, and feel he is a very good cardiologist. However his hands are tied by a horrible front desk, antiquated procedures and lack prompt testing. After complaining for years, I found out my original bypass had been done improperly by a now-retired surgeon. This was discovered in a matter of days after going to Houston for treatment. Sorry, I can't risk Corpus Christi care.
