Dr. John Arthur Persing, MD

2 1/2 hours of waiting and the dr never even came in. Left without being seen by anyone other than the receptionist. Total waste of time!!

Very positive, very understanding and addresses issues with kindness and honesty. In 20 years, I've had several scar revisions that have been less than successful - Dr. Persing agreed to undertake what I thought was impossible.

Dr. Persing is an amazing plastic surgeon and his many years of experience have only added to his skill. I would say, truly, that he is an artist. He is very friendly in terms of bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about how the body reacts to certain procedures. I don't think I could give him a high enough rating. I believe that he is a doctor who really cares. I would encourage anyone to go see him.

Recently, my 23 y.o. son was hideously injured in a freakish softball accident. He sustained multiple facial fractures including two broken eye sockets, one of which was completely shattered, broken cheekbones and nose, trauma to both eyes (hyphemas) and his two front teeth were knocked out. We were blessed to have a surgeon of Dr. Persing's caliber at our disposal. He painstakingly pieced together the remaining bone fragments and installed several titanium plates to facilitate and fortify the facial bone structure. At one week post op, my son's previously distorted and shattered appearance has been completely restored. My son is thrilled as am I. Dr. Persing is a soft spoken, mild mannered, professional who offered us his cell phone number in case of complications. He is a very caring and exceedingly qualified surgeon. I highly recommend him.

I set up an appointment with Dr. Persing for my daughter. They decided they had too many patients on the day of our original consultation and rescheduled us for two weeks later. When we arrived early to our appointment as instructed on the confirmation letter, we were told to sit down because it was not 8:30 yet, and the receptionist refused to open her windown until then.Dr. Persing's bedside manner was acceptable, and his diagnosis quick. We needed to have pictures taken and had to wait 40 minutes for an assistant to come in and take a picture. We spent 2 hours in the building and less than 10 minutes with the actual doctor.Dr. Persing's office was suppose to follow up with us and didn't. One week after the appointment on a Friday, I called and was told I could not speak to anyone because his secretary was on vacation and would be back on Monday. 3 additional business days after that, I called again. His secretary told me that we could not be helped until the following week… because the person that handled what we needed was on vacation. The worst part of it is that the condition were were trying to address is one where it could possibly be addressed before the child our child grows any more. It would have been best addressed several months ago. The more time that passes less likely any non-surgical methods would work. I am entirely unimpressed by the complete lack of caring and unresponsiveness.
