Dr. John A Pickel Jr, MD

I went to Dr. Pickles for fertility advice and he was so demeaning and negative towards my personal ability to have children and made me feel so uncomfortable. He said that any women over 175 lb can’t have children and then turned to my husband and stated “I doubt the inability to get pregnant is your fault.” As a RN I have been around physicians in the hospital setting and have never seen a physician treat patients like he did me. Needless to say, I left his clinic in tears and felt so hopeless. But I’m happy to say; I’m currently pregnant with baby #3 and have had two other healthy pregnancies under a wonderful physician without any fertility treatment :) Dr Pickles is the worst doctor I have ever experienced and he should feel terrible how he treats patients.

Service sucks don’t waste your time

He made me feel very uncomfortable.. He talked down about my last doctor to me wich wasnt very professional. He was staring at me while i was talking mind you i was undressed.. And when i waited for his response he was still staring without speaking and then it was as if he snapped out of it. Overall he just made me feel very uncomfortable. He swabbed me and told me that i did not have a cyst but that i had a yeast infection.. Wich i didnt have any symptoms of. Once i left i got home and that night i started getting symptoms of yeast that i did not have before.. Not sure if that means im overthinking but i had a bad vibe from him and his assistant. I was uncomfortable. Will not go back

I do NOT recommend seeing this doctor. He made me feel very uncomfortable with the way he handled me both physically and verbally during my extremely brief exam. He offered no diagnosis, he was condescending, belittled me and dismissed my pain. He made me like I was an inconvenience even though I paid $165 dollars to be seen at my appointment.

I found Dr. Pickle to b a very kind, understanding, and efficient Physician. His staff was also great and I highly recommend this practice!

Extremely rude and dismissive. Does not listen. He is condescending. Will never go to this doctor again and definitely do not recommend him to anyone!

Well I will make a long story short. I went in to make sure that I didn't have a bacteria issue. I was told by the nurse that he would be doing a wiff test. I asked what that was and she explained he would basically smell to see if there was a bad smell and know whether or not I had a problem. I also was concerned about my missed period and being on the pill. She told me that I shouldn't worry since it's only a few days late. I went in the examination room and after we talked he swabbed my vagina and smelled the swab and threw it in the trash. The nurse was present for all of this. I could not believe this. I don't think this can be normal! Anyways he said I was ok but he'd send the pharmacy a prescription encase of reoccurrence. Well I woke up the next day and my vagina was itching. Never do I have yeast problems unless I'm pregnant. So I ran to the store and grabbed a test and guess what?! You guessed it! Pregnant! So if you are looking for a pretty disappointing experience his… office is where to go.

Dr.Pickle was very rude and seemed to not care about my problems and how concerned I was with my symptoms. Asked for a blood test and anything else they could do to see any signs of infection or disease and didn't do it. Not sure what I spent $140 on? Don't go to him

By far the worst doctor ever. He could even care for my dog. He doesn't listen. He doesn't do his research. He doesn't diagnos correctly and he inappropriate and unprofessional. Never go to him. Ever!!!! My girlfriend and I were very upset and left with no help or plan of care.

Dr Pickles is very rude, no bedside manner or compassion. Came into the exam room without so much as an introduction or anything of sorts and just went straight to the problem. He wasn't kind at all considering I was in pain. He was chewing gum very unprofessionally and it felt like he was in a rush to get out because he considered my problem insignificant. I'll never go back there!
