Dr. John Forrest Prater, DO

I came out of menopause totally depressed with anxiety disorder and sign up for his medical research study and I got medicated and am still on same meds feeling amazing...........Thanks Dr. Prater hope you are well ð??? say hello to Stacy for me plz â?¤

Dr. Prater is kind and courteous. The office is run extremely efficient. Stacy is a kind and caring individual who does her best to get patient in as soon as possible. I would recommend this office to anyone who wants a relaxes and caring environment.

Avoid this doctors office at all costs! The desk lady Stacey is quite possibly the least professional and most rude person I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They have lost my business permanently and I would like everybody else to know how poorly run this office is. There is no sense of professionalism or care here, all they are interested in is taking your money, when it comes to getting good quality caring help, go somewhere else!

Dr. Prater is nice, but he makes snap diagnoses. For instance, when I came to him I had been diagnosed Bi-polar II for 30 years. Before even hearing my history, he said, "Oh, you're not bi-polar." This impacted the way he treated my condition. When anti-depressants didn't work, he was at a loss as to how to proceed. In addition, he has a busy schedule, at least 6 weeks between appointments, so if a med is not working, it is very hard to get in to see him. Impossible, really.Finally, he is very unprofessional in his comments about other area doctors. He says some pretty bad things about them, which isn't a great thing to do. Doesn't inspire confidence in him.
