Dr. John Burr Robertson, MD

Dr Robertson is the coldest most uncaring creep of a doctor we've ever seen. And his front desk staff are miserable. So miserable they take it out on the parents of the patients. The whole place is just sad. Avoid avoid.

My daughter has epilepsy. She always had breakthrough seizures. Dr. Robertson stopped her seizures in 2 months..what they couldn’t do at the children’s hospital in over 5 years. She is also stable on her meds for bipolar n ADD. I can’t say enough about Dr. Robertson and his nurse. They do expect parents to be accountable. I see a few ppl w accountability issues being upset at them on here. As Dr. Phil says, kids don’t grow up in a vacuum. Your attitudes and participation as parents plays a role in their development.

My daughter was treated for ADHD for a few years and the medication did help. Dr Robertson and his nurse almost always gave me the impression that they felt I lacked as a mother b/c I didn’t make sure she took her meds every morning. She had two older sisters who seen to that because I had to leave every morning for work. After the first few appointments I always felt they were arrogant and judged me harshly and incorrectly. The last blow was when he and his nurse said I needed to put her on birth control pills based on her oldest sister getting pregnant before marriage. They said one daughter got pregnant and another one would too. Again judging and belittling my mothering abilities. We never went back! I’m happy to say my daughter stopped her medication successfully, has received an Associates Degree, and has not gotten pregnant yet (she’s 23 right now). I would NEVER suggest Dr Robertson under any circumstances!

Took my teenage daughter to him. She was having some adolescent adjustment issues. Her psychologist diagnosed her with mild ADD. She needed medication,and her pediatrician had a six week waiting list. She was struggling with focus issues in school,and we felt we should try to get medicine for her sooner. We both filled out long ,detailed lists of information about her and our family. Dr, Robertson did prescribe medication that helped. However,he spent little time talking to her. Based on her honesty in filling out the form on her first visit, she admitted experimenting with beer and marijuana. Based on this, he labeled her as having a substance abuse problem. Her psychologist who spent time talking to her, disagreed, and so did we. He was dismissive of us. Spent little time,and was very expensive.

Dr. Robertson and his nurse are unfeeling, unkind people who belittle and discount the opinions of other medical professionals. They will talk down to you and ignore your concerns while taking absorbent fees.

Dr Robertson has saved my life!!! After going to many doctors, I found dr Robertson 10 years ago. his staff is wonderful and caring. I can't say enough great things about my experiences with him. God bless dr John

From the start my family suggested that I see someone because they thought I was deppressed around the Christsmas season.I agreed to give it a try but all I got was pills pills and more pills,I thought a shrink was suppose to talk things out but this clown and his helper Julie have one question when i see them(any thoughts of suicide?) Well No but take the money and write another script. My real doctor has helped me dose down so I will not be a slave to a pill that I don't need and they have had awfull side effects. I worry most about the children this guy distroys.John does not have his client's best interest. He want's your money and the pharmaceutical's money in his pocket. The last 2 times I was at his office he had intern's that's a great way to spend my money.Shop around.I didn't need this and I know John Robertson wasted several hours of my life to put me on drugs that are not nesasary. I'm proud to say a real doctor helped me get back to normal,

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Robertson for approximately 19 years, since age seven. We have found him to be extremely knowledgable regarding symptoms, treatment options and management of her mental illness. Dr. Robertson has managed to keep my daughters illness under control so that she has been hospitalized only once and she has never become so depressed that she has attempted suicide. He explains things to my satisfaction, spends as much time as we need with us and always attempts to answer my questions. in addition! I have always felt that he has my daughter's best interests in mind and he welcomes my input and thoughts. He has always been courteous and pleasant to both my daughter and myself. I highly recommend him.

POOR Staff, Dr. cancelled our daughter's appointment time and wanted to reschedule but we couldn't make their new time due to her attending her HS classes. We tried to be flexible to schedule another time and the staff said we would be charged for "cancelling" the original appointment if we couldn't make "their" time. If this is their attitude and policy we are going to another doctor. Perhaps we should charge you! We will be sharing this experience with our insurance company and all our friends and family.

Diagnosed my condition and treated it effectively. I would recommend him to others.
