Dr. John William Rose, MD

Fantastic doctor!

Dr. Rose is a very gifted doctor that far exceeds any of his peers in clinical skills. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable in diagnostics, cutting edge R&D and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. When he enters your exam room, he takes the time to talk with you about your condition and symptoms and really listens with undivided attention! Unlike so many other doctors that are just â??practicing,â?? John actually uses his wealth of knowledge for the best benefit and outcome of his patients. He doesnâ??t treat you like another nameless chart numbered disease or paycheck. He is humble, compassionate and sincere, treating each of patients as unique, living human beings and not a blob of diseased cells. I thank God every day that I have Dr. Rose in my corner, on my team fighting MS!

Having MS I have been to quite a few different doctors. Dr. Rose has an excellent bedside manner. He is always willing to spend time answering my questions. He is very knowledgeable about all kinds of treatment options. His staff returns my calls in a timely manner. I have been his patient for about 14 years.

I read some of the other comments. I am sorry that you had a hard time. I have been a patient of Dr. Rose now for 23 years. I always found that "if" I ever had to wait for any length of time, I would get the time I needed when it was my turn. He has always been very personable and caring about my needs. The only thing that I have found hard is getting a nurse to return my calls.

When concerns about how the staff and doctors were treating my family member (the patient), Dr. Rose said to us, "If you're not happy with your treatment here then you can leave." He was incredibly defensive and rude. He comes into the room after making us wait a very long time, each time, and scans the folder like he's never seen it before and can't remember our names. On more than one occasion he's been absolutely sure of the next step in MS treatment, only to find out we've already gone through it! Maybe take an extra MINUTE to go through the file BEFORE you come in and recommend something we've ALREADY DONE! Wow.

Dr. Rose is not only an excellent physician but also very personable. I feel he provides the best care and most up-to-date information available.

very hard to get an appointment. even when you are an established patient you cannot get in. my sister has a second neurologist to take care of her MS because Dr. Rose is so hard to see. also seems to be behind the times. although he is an ms specialist the other neurologist had some more current plans that worked!

distant, doesn't look you in the eyes. behind the times with MS--the treatments that helped were actually suggested by other physicians.
