Dr. Schaefer is one of the most compassionate people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He doesn't makes promises he has no intention of keeping, nor does he punt you to another Dr. If you're case is challenging. I can't say enough.

The good Doctor an I had a lengthy Dr / Patient relationship from approximately 1979 to1999. I was one of his more complicated cases to Diagnose because of the technology of that time which was limited. But he did his very best to help me with the right medications to treat my symptoms. I moved to California in 1998 and established relationships with several Neurologists over time. In 2007 I had a Catastrophic Illness that required 9 weeks time of Hospitalization @ Cedars in Los Angeles, CA. My general Diagnosis remained the same. In 2009 Genetic Testing finally became available, and it was at that time that I was told that I had a very rare blood oddity, and Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. The Dr was right all those years ago, it was something in my blood, and genetics as we always suspected. Thank You Dr Schaefer, for the Gift Of My Life! He is thorough, extremely knowledgable, kind, caring and compassionate. In my humble opinion (10) Ten Gold Stars. Well Done and Cheers!
