Dr. John Lindsey Shover, DO

Worst office staff ever. Can't get a referral done before 6 weeks time. Lazy, insensitive, incompetent and rude. Save yourself aggravation and go anywhere else. They are now PHC, but the change of name did not change the way they run their practice, which is extremely poorly.

Office staff seems stumped on how to process referrals and authorizations. Be prepared to hear a multitude of excuses as to why you will wait weeks for diagnostic tests, i.e., they never received your specialist's request, your insurance is dragging, etc. But I had the same insurance the year before and another primary care physician with none of such nonsense. Very unhappy.

All about the money, coded the visit as comprehensive when it was barely consultative. Avoid this fraud. Just wants your co-pay. Terminates you from practice if you ask any qualified question or question anything.

Doesn't care, sloppy, terrible blood draw. They can't do the most simple things. Then they have this psycho huge lady, very nasty, that starts lying to me about a prescription. Why lie? It was very, very strange. I got the heck out of there. It's like the twilight zone for medical washouts. Go anywhere else!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shover's for over 20 years. He has provided me with excellent care over the time I have seen him. In various times of need, his staff (super nice!) have worked me in to see him with no issue or complaint. I have referred my husband, my parents, my brother, and a co-worker to him for treatment and all have been very happy with his practice, demeanor, and professionalism. Dr. Shover is a wonderful person and spends time discussing the issues you have. He has recommended appropriate treatments and alternatives to combat recurring symptoms I have had. I think he is truly one of the best doctor's I have ever seen.

My doctor for years closed his practice. He was the best and unfortuantly I went to Dr Shover as my primary care doctor. During office visits he never tried to help. He just refills my prescriptions and that's it. He misdiagnosed a herniated disc in my neck as a shoulder fracture. I spent a lot of money getting xrays and his follow ups consisted of reading exactly what the radiologist had summarized and even charged me for an office visit. I already paid teh radiologist, I could have read the paper myself. His staff will not help you in a bind. My pharmacy once lost my script (mail in) and wanted the Doctors office to call or fax a new script, but the staff refused saying it is not their job, the pharmacy needed to call us. After a week and a half I finally got my script filled, but with no thanks to the staff. I'm finally fed up and looking for a new primary doctor.

Moved to FL about 1 1/2 years ago, my mom and my grandmother both have Dr Shover as their primary and said I'd love him..Well they were right, I unfortunately have had many health issues and have had quite a few appointments. He is such a sweet caring doctor, easy to talk to, and really listens to his patience..A doc that doesn't listen is a bad doc in my opinion...Wish every doctor I have to see was as concerned about their patience as much as this man...Much Love...
