Dr. John Stuart Slaven, MD

Recently had surgery. I came home with a severe sore throat the (endo tube caused) by “scratching the entire inside of my throat.” It was a most horrific pain. I cried-(all night in the hospital). I had to eat soft foods for 3 weeks. There was no need to go in to surgery, and come of there with another very painful problem! It made healing a nightmare for me, sadly. I hope (he) treats others going into surgery, better, and more carefully, in the future. ••No one should have (extra painful suffering), and (difficult swallowing issues for 3 weeks), like I did. *(Especially when it could have entirely been prevented.)

Efficient, highly concerned with each patients needs, excellent sense of humor, very professional manner, good relations with other medical personnel. I highly recommend Dr. Slaven. He and his staff provided my anesthesia during two medical procedures at Huntsville Women and Children's Hospital yesterday.
