I had made an appointment with Dr.Smith as I was in extreme discomfort due to certain issues. I had been battling the issues for quite some time and was hoping for some sort of support / medication. Dr. Smith barely listened to my problems. Made me feel like I was stupid for going to a specialist. Said I should go back to my pcp. Asked me to take pepcid and then if that did not resolve the issue, then to get an xray. I left feeling belittled and embarrassed. I went to another doctor who took the time and patience to listen to my problems and was able to treat them. I will never recommend Dr. Smith to anyone!

I visited Dr Smith due to bloating problems. I took 30 min for him to finally make it to my room. He barely listened to anything I had to say concerning symptoms, the different things I’ve been trying, etc. he just immediately suggested miralax with Gatorade (my PCP had previously already recommended miralax 2 months prior and I told Dr Smith that). He requested I get another X-ray and if the X-ray came back showing constipation he would recommend more miralax…. Didn’t make sense to me that Miralax was the only option here. He didn’t give any medical explanation or explain the how/why or anything, he just seemed to talk in circles. I honestly thought it was a joke and that he wasn’t even an actual doctor. He kept talking about the type of Gas X they give to babies in liquid form which didn’t have anything to do with why I was there. Very odd visit. Never encountered a doctor that seemed so unsure of anything I was saying/asking being he’s supposed to be a specialist.

Dr. Smith is very kind. The day of my procedure, he discussed my situation with me and then thoroughly explained everything I needed to know before the endoscopy. Then afterward he came back to discuss his findings. I felt that he listened to me and truly wanted to help. I really couldn't be any happier that I chose him.

I found Dr. Smith to be cold and apathetic. I will give him another try because of the other reviews I read here in the hopes he was having an off day. If I leave there the second time with the same impression I will choose another doctor.
