Dr. John Spiegel, MD

Dr. Spiegel is very thorough, listens to your issues and presents a very knowledgeable, friendly demeanor. He does not rush and answers questions with illustrations. He has been my doctor for many years. I would absolutely recommend him . He’s the best!

My husband and I care for his 54 yr old Downs Syndrome sister - when I called Neurology Associates I specifically asked for a doctor that would work well with her mental challenges and dementia now complicated with seizures. They assigned us to Dr Spiegel. After the 1st appt I should have found another doctor. He was discussing with us regarding the situation - I went to ask a question. Dr Spiegel put his hand up in a stop sign mode directed at me basically telling me to Shut Up!!! While he spoke to my husband and excluded me. I let my husband ask the questions he knew I wanted to ask. Then Dr Spiegel turned to me to see what it was I wanted - I told him my husband has asked the questions for me. I had been to another Neurologist before she began having seizures - Dr Spiegel thought I should return to that doctor. I told him I need a doctor that can work with her special needs and it wasn't working with the previous doctor. He prescribed the drugs she needed and we were to… return in 6 months. They did not give us a 6 month appt - they were to call us with that info in 6 months. No one called - I called them because she needed meds refilled. On the 2nd visit, Dr Spiegel checked her reflexes and refilled the meds - stated he would see her in 1 year!!! It was obvious he did not want to be her doctor.

He is a terrible doctor. He doesn’t care about his patients. He’s rude. Don’t waste your time going to him.

Never been to a Dr so rude. Waited 4 days for office to call back with test results after many many messages left finally on the 4 day was so rude they gave me the results. Never been somewhere that I knew all he wanted was money and I was just a number to him.

Dr Soeigel is an excellent neurologist. He was through ,patient,& concerned. I

Horrible, The follow up is minimal. He is good at one thing at a time. Often I have many problems interfacing at the same time kinda like a cold with congestion and cough and fever all together.

Poor bedside manner, rude. Shares little information.
