Dr. John Francis Stanievich, MD

DR. STAN------- WAS A SECOND OPINION FOR MY SON 32 YEARS AGO WHEN THE DISEASE "JORRP" WAS FAIRLY NEW TO THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY. HE WAS A GREAT DR. IN THIS LIMITED FIELD. FAST FORWARD 32 YRS., HE DX'ED MY SON W/ CANCER AFTER 6 MONTHS OF MISDX BY ANOTHER ENT. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER MAY NOT BE THE BEST, HOWEVER, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. I HAVE NO INFO ON HIS CURRENT EXPERIENCE OR IF HE HIS UP-TO-DATE W/MODERN SURGICAL TREATMENTS.

I brought my 22 year old daughter to Dr. Stanievich for a 2nd opinion on having her tonsils removed. He did not explain anything to her, he was abrupt, rude, nasty and overall unaccommodating. He spent 5 minutes with us and then told us he could not help my daughter because she was basically too scared. I have never ever experienced this kind of treatment from a Dr. towards a patient. His bedside manner is the worst I have ever seen. We left his office is total shock and dismay.

I'm a real sceptic when it comes to doctors. Dr. Stanievich is one of the only doctors whom I really, really trust. His credentials are impeccable, and his accomplishments and resume' speak for themselves. In short, he knows what he's doing, he takes his time with you, and he's a really decent human being.

This is one office where I see the staff is so caring as to come out and assists patients in the waiting room who could use physical assistance.Dr.Stanievich has been spot-on in his diagnoses, even if I don't like the diagnosis. What's been GREAT is his teaching me how to eliminate many of my ENT problems in the first place, by using a neti pot. It has proven to be priceless.I'm not sure what follow-up is referring to in star ratings. I have follow-up visits. He always knows who I am, what my meds are and what was recommended, when he enters the room.Highly recommend. Thanks. Who knew?

after my second visit, it was a definite difference, he was a lot more concerned and explained a lot more

i went to this doctor to get an evaluation of my nose. I believe I have a deviated septum. He came in the room, was courteous and scoped my nose and throat(almost gagged). he then told me my nose is swollen but didn't tell me outright if i had a deviated septum, he told me to go to an allergy specialist and take some pills first (prior to recommending surgery). So I am not satisfied because he didn't outright tell me and partly apparently my fault for not outright asking...but that is why I was there. I will be requesting a copy of the report. I just don't like paying for a 20min visit to not know anything, except that I am suppose to try some pills to clear my nose. I really wish he (and for that matter every other doctor) spend the time to make sure your absolutely comfortable with the diagnosis and answer any questions, rather than just rush through the visit and make suggestions (in 20min) and then suck the $40 copay and insurance out of it.
