Dr. John Karl Sturman JR.

After spending over 10 years in constant unbearable pain, unable to do anything semi comfortably and seeing multiple Dr's for help, I met Dr Sturman. Within a couple visits he added one medication to my regimen and I found some relief. Praise Jesus. This Dr listens to everything you want to tell him & actually takes an interest in his patients as 'people' not just appointments or a paycheck. Thank you Dr Sturman for giving me part of my mobility. You are a God Send.

Great experience. He explained every thing completely, discussed his findings and spent a ton of time insuring that I understood everything he had said.

I was told from a refering nurse from another doc office that all paitent's of Dr. Sturman's will have a hard time finding a new doc. We are all on what u would call a black list. No doc want's to touch us ..And because of that we pay the price. I can't say on how true it is but look at what were going threw.And none of it is our fault. I liked him too he was the only one who helped me without sending me to someone else every time i turned around.It not fair we are being punished for what they said he did.I was with him for 2 years and haven't for over a year now because of that stupidletter.Been looking every sense.

I was a patient of dr sturman and had seen him for like a year or two then got a letter in the mail saying dr. Sturman wasn't seeing patines any more ,, and know its hard to find a pain clinic that wants to see his patines even though u get a referral from your doctor ,, and I would like an answer why he no longer sees any patines any more ,, I have to live with pain for the rest of my life and we are the ones who can't be seen by any other pain doctor becouse we are turned down I don't think it far at all we dervice answers why he no longer sees patines and in the letter they said that they would reffer us to some one but hasn't hard yet .. I have been turned down three times know

I was a patient of Dr. Sturman for over a year and half,and in 2012 I was dropped from his care because i was told he no longer was associated with the IU pain clinic. But reading this information and other information It looks as though he is still treating and seeing patients at the pain clinic at IU.It is hard for me to become comfortable with any DR and i was very comfortable and trusting in his care.I do not understand why I was dropped from his care if he is still practicing,I was truly sad too loose him as my Dr. but Im more upset if he is still practicing and I was dropped as a patient without being told why,i feel i deserve a answer!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Sturman's for 5 years. Then I receive a letter stating his office is CLOSED, with no reason why or any referral to see a different physician! He was such a good, nice and caring Doctor. I just don't get it! His patients are real people with real pain issues and now the office sends out a letter that its just closed and they wont give an answer as to why or what to do? I saw another post on here and I will say I am also having trouble finding anyone to treat my pain now. Does anyone have any answers to this as to why or any other good doctors out there? This is saddening and I would think to drop a lot of people off medications that have helped them for years could have devastating effects in multiple ways! If anyone has any answers, they'd be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

I saw some other comments and decided to post something, too. I am having a heck of a time trying to find anyone to treat me for my chronic pain now, with the exception of some quack at the Meridian Pain Clinic, who will only treat with Suboxone. A horrible drug. If anyone else finds a good Dr. like Dr. Sturman please post. I will do the same. I can't believe they would just shut all of his patients out without any referral - nothing.

I saw that other person posted that he is closed..reason I saw this in the first place is that after letter I recieved the other day, I've been desperately searching online for a replacement physcian. How in the world can I ever replace the MOST CARING, KNOWLEDGABLE PHYSCIAN THAT I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY 15 YEARS OF BATTLING MY CONDITION? TO SAY HE WILL BE MISSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT! HE WAS BRILLIANT! I don't understand how clinics can get away with closing at drop of a hat and leaving all pt's in the dark, with a "sorry we are closed and can't help you further, not even with a referral" letter! (I actually checked the obituaries to see if he had passed away! that's how much of a shock this is to me, considering how caring he was toward me!) YES, Dr. Sturman, you will DEFINATELY be missed, and I honestly don't know where I am going to end up without you caring for me, because sadly, no one else wants to help someone like me, and when I came to you, you were the end of the road! I wish… that things were different and you weren't leaving, but hope that all is ok with you and wish you all the best in your next chapter of your life. Thank you for helping me when others wouldn't. I would leave my name here, but its the internet..so I'll just sign anonymous. :O(

One of this Drs partners referred me to Dr. Sturman and it was 15 months before I could get an appointment to see him so that other doctor refused to see me in the interim; I have no idea what the outcome will be when I finally do see him. It gives me a very uneasy feeling to be treated this way.

I have seen DR.Struman for almost 2 years.He has been a very understanding Doctor as well as a Person who cares what is happing in your family life.I highly recommend DR.JOHN STURMAN
