Summary

As a general surgery resident, Dr. Sun was recognized for excellence in clinical teaching. He received the Lasers in Surgery Research Award during the two years he carried out research. During his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota, he received the Chicago Society of CRS Best Resident Presentation Award as well as the Carl E. Christenson Outstanding Fellow Scholar Award.More recently, Dr. Sun was the recipient of AdventHealth Parker Hospital's Humanitarian Award and was a …finalist in the Champions in Health Care sponsored by the Denver Business Journal. Dr. Sun has published over 50 articles in peer reviewed journals and books and has given many lectures in the Denver metro area.
