Dr. John Douglas Templeton, MD

We brought my daughter in for a sick visit on a Wednesday. She was complaining of sore throat and just not feeling well. I had told the PA that she often gets strep throat without usual symptoms-so please check her for it. The PA refused to do so-saying this is just allergies and that she doesn’t have any symptoms for strep. The PA sent us home and told us to “load her up” on Children’s allergy meds and nasal spray. After having a 7 year old who felt sick all weekend-I had to take the following Monday off of work to take her back in. Now please tell me why if you think my child just has allergies-do you make her put a mask on and sit on the sick side of the waiting room? After being brought back to the exam room by a super rude CNA, the doctor comes in and says…yup just allergies. I said I’m not leaving until she is tested for Strep. So she finally says ok. The CNA comes back in and tests her for Strep. Says go home and we’ll call you. I didn’t see the Dr. again, she didn’t tell me she… was leaving, just left the room. I didn’t leave until it was done-because it only takes a few mins to run it. Guess what? Comes back positive. The doctor doesn’t show her face back in the room-just the CNA. She said we’ll call a script in. 4 hours later the pharmacy had the script. I called ShaeLynn Byas the next day to let her know about our experience and she was completely ignorant on the phone. She even laughed at me. I asked her manager to call me then(Dr Templeton) and she said I’ll give your info to him-but I doubt he’ll call you. This office that is supposed to take care of children is a joke. I have never met a staff more unprofessional than this office. I do not recommend and I pulled my child out of this office to take her somewhere else. Highly recommend blue sky peds-the staff here is amazing.

Dr. Templeton is a kind and thoughtful Dr. We never feel rushed and he takes time to answer all my questions as a new mom. He comes Very Highly recommended by Mission Hospital and lots of families. We love French Broad Peds!

Can not say enough about Dr. Templeton and how he cares for his patients! His level of care far surpasses any other Dr. we have ever seen. He LISTENS! His bed side manor is exactly what I needed as a new mom. he is great with our daughter and my hubby thinks he is great too. The office is lovely and the staff super friendly.

I was there with my son for a well check and he was very thorough and personable. He spent a lot of time and covered more than I expected. My son really liked him as well.
