Dr. John George Touzios, MD

Almost seven years ago now, my lifepartner (my wife) was diagnosed with mCRC and UC. Surgery and healthy behavior are powerful steps in a treatment plan, but only as effective as the patient's attitude and the quality and capability of the surgical team. I asked at the time "who is the quarterback", being faced with limited time and a multitude of seemingly independant treatment disciplines. In the highly stressed situation of the devastating diagnosis Dr. Touzios did not only step forward to be "the quarterback", during the following 8 hour long and challenging surgery he and his team members would deliver periodic updates. With some adjustments we have returned to our lives, and whenever we look at a sunrise we think of that day when the quarterback was where we needed him most. Thank you again! e????µ?s???

Expert at surgery very compassionate

Dr. Touzios was my surgeon this past spring and summer of 2018. I was told by countless employees of Waukesha Memorial Hospital what a phenomenal surgeon and spectacular person he is. Well, lo and behold, they were not lying to me. Fantastic surgeon, sweet and caring personality, always busy and in a hurry, yet actually never made you feel that you were just a nuisance (as I am sure I was more often than I care to think about). He answered all questions honestly, and if he did not know the answer, he made sure that you had an answer as quickly as was humanly possible. He made an otherwise miserable time almost darn near fun. He is one in a million. Thank you Dr. John. I almost look forward to my colonoscopy in the fall.

Dr Touzios speaks to you as the patient, he answers all of your questions and is patient, kind, caring and very good at his job. He explained everything throughout the whole process. There were no surprises and the follow up care with the oncologist was exactly as he said it would be. I would recommend Dr. Touzios.

Dr T. was great at listening to me and what concerns I had at the time of my procedure. He is the first male physician (I am a woman) that I have ever gone to that did not make me feel uncomfortable. I was very satisfied with his bedside manner and his care. Great doctor!
