Dr. John Martin Ulrich, MD

They clearly care more about money than patient care. Dr Ulrich cut the inside of my daughters nose at the last visit causing him to have to repack her nose a month after surgery. I paid them $200 a week ago and let the billing know I will pay $200 a month until the $1300 is paid off. They refused to see my daughter today unless I paid them another $200 today. They could have called me before I drove 40 miles to their office and made us wait in the waiting room until all other patients left to tell us they were rescheduling her appointment until I can make payments. Why call and make arrangements? I have always paid my bills with them, I just do not have 1300 at one time to give them. Maybe if the doctor would not have screwed up we would not have had to return so quickly and I could have made another payment by then.

I do not know what the doctor is like...I was never given the opportunity to see him. What I did experience was the worst in customer service. I called early in the morning to schedule an appointment for my son. He had a broken nose and deviated septum, diagnosed in WV. They would not take our insurance so I needed to bring him 7 1/2 hours home to have surgery and get him back to college ASAP so he would miss as few classes as possible. The first person I talked to said he could get in for a consult in the morning and surgery that afternoon. They just needed to confirm insurance information. She said I would get a call in the afternoon. When I did not receive a call, I called them so I could confirm that my son should come home. The lady I spoke to was the worst, mostly because she told me, after confirming that I was Medicaid, they were not accepting new patients. Really??? Then she insulted my intelligence by asking if I needed a case worker or someone to help me figure things out.… Just because I have Medicaid and another insurance for my family does not mean I'm an idiot. And what kind of office doesn't accept a patient because they are Medicaid? The insurance web site lists them as a provider. Apparently they need to be removed.

Our four year old was snoring every night and it often seemed as if his breathing was labored. He was often tired and it was very obvious that he wasnâ??t getting a restful sleep. We took him to see Dr. Ulrich and showed him videos we had taken of our son sleeping and snoring. Dr. Ulrich was very thorough and helpful with his diagnosis, while providing us with several options to help improve our sonâ??s sleeping. All of our questions were answered and after trying some alternatives to surgery that didnâ??t work as successfully as we had hoped, we scheduled our son for a tonsillectomy. The surgery was a success and now our son is sleeping sound throughout the night without experiencing any of the previous issues. We are very happy with our decision to have his tonsils out andâ??more importantlyâ??for taking him to Dr. Ulrich due to his expertise, thoughtfulness, and professionalism. Thank you, Dr. Ulrich and staff!

Be very careful, I just spent over $60.00 out of pocket, front desk person said it was my insurance's fault. He charged over $60 to stick something in my ear to remove a small amount of wax (his words). I will not be going back to this a la carte Doctor.

Dr. Ulrich is knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We never felt rushed or ignored.

I feel that I was taken advantage of by this Office. I paid for a appointment that was not necessary to begin with. I complained to the office manager to no avail. I absolutely feel like I was taken advantage of, and as a retiree on a fixed income I cant financially or medically afford to have someone do this to me.

I didn't get past the desk to see the doctor. With my insurance, all co-pays are paid AFTER submitting the paperwork to the insurance company. With my ears in great pain and producing a bloody discharge, I was told his office collects up front. I didn't have the high co-pay and they would not take any instruction from my insurance company to explain how this works. It states on my card to not collect any $s up front. They would not allow me to see the doctor. I would highly discourage anyone from using this doctor.

Such a great experience, I even sent my dad to him!!

I was very happy with how I was treated at Dr. Ulrich's office. His entire staff was very kind and helpful. I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Ulrich to my family and friends.
