Dr. John Edward Walker, MD

I have been a patient with Dr. Walker for >15yrs and am surprised by the negative comments. Dr. Walker is an excellent physician. He is very knowledgeable, current, and pragmatic in discussing treatment strategies based on medical options and patient feedback. Dr. Walker has also supported me with difficult medical challenges, that require accurate guidance and empathy. He is low-key, thoughtful, reflective, empathetic, and accurate in his medical guidance. If that is what you are looking for you will be very pleased. If you are looking for someone who is bubbly, gives you a hug and asks about family, that may not be his style. I would highly recommend Dr. Walker based on 15yrs experience across various ailments over that time.

Rude and pushy

You must agree with him on everything or else he gets insulted. Caused me two additional weeks of discomfort because he would not come into the exam room after his PA asked for his advice. Very pompous.

Dr. Walker has treated me several times and every time it has been exceptionally effective. A very skilled doctor with years of experience.

He is the first Medicare approved PCP that has made me feel like a valued patient.

Dr. Walker is a very good doctor! He always explains in layman's terms what your condition is, what is the cause and the path to curing it or taking care of it. He is kind hearted with a dry but good sense of humor and always make you feel that you are in good hands

Dr. John E. Walker is very unprofessional. Called me at home, even thought I wasn't his patient. I saw another physician in the practice. He proceeded to use vulgar language, saying I had used vulgar language with his staff, which was untrue. My wife was sitting in the same room with me had heard everything I said. The clinic staff was trying to bill us for an office visit that was in error. My wife had met her maximum out of pocket expense and had not paid an office visit for the previous 3 months. It isn't difficult to determine there was an error, but they refused. I contacted the insurance company and a new explanation of benefits was sent so they could correct their mistake. Needless to say, we have not been back. The Dr. John E. Walker took it upon himself to dismiss us from the practice, anyway. Didn't hurt our feelings.

Dr. Walker is totally disinterested never asks how you are "feeling" or looks back at prior notes/results. RX's are often written incorrectly, very dangerous that he is still in business!

I have been a patient of Dr. Walkers since 2005 and I highly recommend him. My husband and a few men that I work with also go to him. Over the last yr I have seen Nurse Pat Obulaney instead of Dr. Walker and am equally satisfied with her. Some women are more comfortable with females so Pat is became a perfect option for me and wives of friends. I am confident either would be perfect to make an appt with. Their office makes appts easy and takes care of insurance. Just bring the insurance card plus DL first visit only.
