Dr. John Weaver, MD

Do not let John Weaver operate on you! He did a spinal fusion on me 7 years ago, I have been a mess since. I live on pain meds, lost my job of 23 years because of the pain I'm constantly in. I also lost normal bowel and bladder function due to permanent nerve damage, coused by the surgery. I constantly battle urinary track infections because I have to self cathertize 4 times a day, also due to nerve damage. He doesn't know how this happened!! Think twice about letting him operate.

6 years ago Dr. Weaver saw me when noone else knew what to do with me. I was born with a very rare spinal deformity and had my first surgery at 16 months old. When I hit 45 my spine stenosis and I had lost all of the feeling in my left side. Dr. Weaver said well I have never seen this before only heard if it but I will make you better. He consulted with many other neurosurgeons and a month later I had a 360 fusion from L2-S1. I am back to a complete normal life. Ride bikes, horses, work more than full time show my dogs anything I want. I followed all if his post operative instructions, I couldn't have ever thought I would be so healthy. Two years ago my son was in a horrible car accident and o. Life support for four days. On day 2 they called in a surgeon as he had such bad subdural hemorrhage they thought he would need surgery. Into his room walked Dr weaver I cried, he saved both of our lives. Two total miracles. Such a wonderful gifted man. If he has gone to another… facility and need him I will find him if he has retired good for him he deserves it. If he reads this thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

He sold me on how beneficial a Cervical laminectomy would be to relieve the numbness in my neck and arms all the way down to my thumbs. I had numbness, but very little pain associated with this. I NOW HAVE CONSTANT NUMBNESS AND PAIN IN THE NECK, ARMS (BOTH NOW) AND IN PLACES I NEVER HAD BEFORE THE SURGERY. He didn't even show up for my scheduled post op visit! The hospital said he had left and they had no information as to where he went. Right!!

My life as a senior is ruined. Lumbar surgery. Now crippled, must use a cane. Constant sciatic pain. Tried to call the two Worcester hospitals where he is associated only to learn "on, he is no longer here, we don't know if he is even still working." So I'm ruined and he is gone with no announcement. That does not sound good to me!!

I went to Weaver several years ago and was told I needed neck surgery. After the surgery I was unable to feel my hand. Two years later still can't feel a thing. I have lost most of the strength in my right arm with noticible size difference. I lost my job and was so close to retiring with a pension. Everyday chores are now quite difficult and it looks like there will be no improvement in sight. My advice is think twice . Patient beware

I believe my son was in the best neurosurgeon's hands he possibly could have been in. From the moment he was airlifted into Dr. Weaver's care, to our last contact with him, every moment of recovery for him was off the charts positive. Thank you to Dr. Weaver for his precise surgeries and genuinely caring bedside manners. I cannot say enough positive words about this doctor.

Had surgery about 9 months ago and it failed miserably. Didn't seem to care too much and was told to keep in touch.

I had a severely herniated disc that was pressing on my sciatic nerve. The pain and numbness in my leg was barely tolerable, even with medication. I contacted Dr. Weaver's office, got an appointment that week and was initially seen by his PA, Sharon. She was amazing. Sharon spent alot of time with me and knew how much pain I was in. She was also able to quickly process all the necessary paperwork for the insurance company to authorize my surgery. When I met Dr. Weaver, I was also amazed at his genuine concern and caring manner. He re-arranged his surgery schedule so that he could get me in right away. He performed a micro-discectomy, which is considered day surgery and minimally invasive. The procedure was a great success and eliminated my pain almost immediately! I would highly recommend Dr. Weaver and his staff to others who may be suffering from a variety of spinal issues.

Dr, Weaver and his professional staff were kind and caring. The appointment wait time was very short. I found Dr.Weaver to be an excellent diagnostician.He is a kind and gentle man. He took a lot time explaining my back xrays to me and my daughter. He explained what my limits would be about bending once my brace was removed. Illustrating himself physically how to bend and how not to bend. i am very grateful that I was recommended to Dr. Weaver. I would recommend him to others with spine problems
