After college, Dr. Winterton earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans …School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship at the same location. Following many years of cardiology practice at hospitals in Lakes Charles, Dr. Winterton returned home to Shreveport-Bossier City.
Dr. Winterton is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
Away from the clinic, Dr. Winterton enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, a Bossier City native. They have three children.
