Was very careing

i was sent to dr.wurst from my pcp do to the fact that i have been having major migraines for years and finely contacted my pcp about them, the first thing he said to me was that the best treatment is botox, i have a major fear of needles and told him that i new all about botox and that it was something i knew i could not do. he put me on a higher mg of what i was on to try after telling me that he was sure that it more then likely would not help, he did a 5min exam , i told him i have blood cloting disorder and wondered it that could be a part of my issues and this was after doing my own resurch on it and migraines and finding out that yes it can be apart of migraines , he told me no that it had nothing to do with it, he then put me on a anti-depressent to help me sleep because i have insomnia and told me that could be a reason for the some of the migraines but i have kids so i wont take a sleeping pill because i am hard to wake up when i take them and at that time my son's dad… worked nights , i explained to him that i have issues with anti-depressents they mess with my head , he was like it is a very low mg you should be fine 4 weeks latter i was a mess called was able to get in and see him . he was like ok just stop taking it and asked if i had though about botox some more was like again no . i had been looking in to a new drug that hit the market this year so when i went to my last check up i told him i had found a app to help keep track of the migraine he completely ignored what i told him about it , then i asked him about the new med that i had looked into it and that i was willing to try it i fear needles but could handle a once a month injection that i could do at home . he then told me that my insurance because it is a state insurance would not cover it because it was to new but his head nurse at his other office knew all about it and that he would have her get in contact with me about it , this is now 2 weeks latter i have run out of my FMLA hours at work because of trying to find out what is causing the migraines to get so bad in the last 2 years. he never set up a ct scane or a mri to see if there was something causing them i have nerve issues and other stuff , but after 2 weeks of no one contacting me i call his office they had no clue about what i was talking about he didnt put any note from what i was told in my file about the injection i told them what he told me they had me call his other office the one that i was told would call me the head nurse there had no idea what i was talking about but would look in to it , got a call back say she spoke with him and that his nurse that the other off would take care of it. with advice from serval people i am going to be switching from him, i feel that after reading other reviews and for what i have had to deal with that unless you want to do botox or have something other then migraines that he will do all he can but if not he will give you the brush off , i have missed so much work i am about to get fired from work because while trying do to what i though was trouble shooting to help find what was causing my migraines i used all my fmla hours .

He was very aggressive with me when I nicely suggested that I didn't think my daughters headaches were from lack of sleep. My daughter has an arachnoid Cyst. This was her second visit and he just suggested another drug. I didn't appreciate being belittled in front of my beutifull wife and Beutifull daughter and I walked out feeling rather offended by his aggressive demeanor toward me. I didn't care to here him insult his wifes sleep habits and talk about how great he sleeps. I think he likes the Woman and would have rather had me stay home. I didn't go to the first appointment.

I feel almost like most of my appointments are a waste of my time. I go in, he spends like 10-15 min with me, asks how my headaches are doing, refills my prescriptions and then off I go. I don't feel like I'm really heard when discussing my headaches.

The worst doctor I've ever had and thats saying something. He didn't listen to me and refused to try more than a couple of things before sending me to a psychologist.

He didn't so much as look in my eyes for an exam. He just prescribed medicines. Nothing worked!

I've been to several neurologists over the years (most bad), however, I really liked Dr. Wurst. I liked his staff as well. If he made me wait longer than usual, he apologized and acknowledged that emergencies happen. There were times when meds prescribed and things weren't quite right and instead of attacking me, or vice versa, he always tried to talk it through with me until it was right. He never claimed to know it all, and was always patient with me in wanting to know something or try something new. He didn't cure it all for me, but I appreciate his willingness to try.

Dr. Wurst was very friendly, took time to listen to me, and nailed the diagnoses of Trigeminal Neurolgia. The staff was very friendly and prompt also. I am so glad to have found him as it saved me a trip to Seattle to get a diagnoses.

I was referred to Dr. Wurst for a neuro consult. The staff was rude and the wait time was long even though I was the only patient in the office. He didn't perform an adequate neuro exam. I had another consult with a neurologist that was lengthy with a report that was suspicious of MS. I was referred for a MRI that revealed several mutifocal areas in my brain. I am now being referred to a MS clinic for further work-up. I would not recommend this Doctor.
