Dr. John Patrick Young, MD

I found Dr Young when last dr wouldn’t help. I really needed someone to listen to me, take action. He did and I’m grateful. His entire staff are exceptionally friendly. Never send message via patient portal it goes unread until you call because you don’t hear from them. Left messages don’t get returned sometimes. I had surgery early this year. I asked questions during post op visits about several issues it was said it’s normal. On my last visit I watched dr young flipping back and forth of before/after X-rays. Half year post op still having issues. I got a second opinion. What new dr told me was I knew something was wrong. I did 3 months of painful PT with some improvement. I finally told them I think I can finish working it out at home cause I wasn’t really going any further in range of motion with their help. So I was released. Anyway now I have to endure another surgery because dr young’s isn’t set right and theres a torn muscle that was missed during post op imaging.

Dr.Young is a great doctor with a great bedside manner! The staff are also great! Wish more doctors and offices were like this!

He's the best, me & my entire family use him. I highly recommend him & his staff they're super friendly & great bedside manner. He doesn't believe in doing unnecessary tests or surgeries. I have been using this wonderful man since the mid 90's & I would never consider using anyone else. Thank you Dr. Young for being such an amazing person & outstanding orthopedist!!!!!!!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Young by one of my friends who had been having the same symptoms as I was experiencing. As she told of her experience with Dr. Young, she spoke with confidence and as if she had known him all of her life. I could see the trust she had in him. The real testament of Dr. Young began the moment she was bought up from surgery. I made an appointment and has been a patient for almost a year. Dr. Young treated me with all due respect and did not play the guessing game when it came to exploring my pain. Not very often do you experience an after visit call to see how things are going once leaving a physicians office; however, you can expect it from Dr. Young and his staff! (Very impressive.) After in-house and hospital testing, I was afforded the opportunity of an A-1 consultation with ample amount of time for questions and answers. His visits are never rushed and you leave knowing that you have received the best care from one of the best!

I would not recommend Dr. Young to anyone. Before he did surgery I could walk. Now I walk with a walker. It's been 2 yrs. I will never walk on my own again, because of him.

Having shoulder pain and finding we needed a rotator cuff tear repair Dr Young explained the procedure, all went well. Three weeks later had little pain Dr Young and his wonderful staff helped with rehab and all questions. 8 weeks after surgery no pain a 100% range. Such great manners and that special touch. Dr. Young was on call at Brookwood Hosp. ER when I broke my ankle last summer. He was nice, practical and not "old school". His treatment is very focused and professional. The office is convenient and his staff very kind, and prompt when they can be. I am having partial knee replacement soon and I am having him perform the surgery. I am very blessed to have found him.

Best doctor I have ever seen. Had multiple shoulder surgeries and have recommend him to several friends. Dr. Young will come in and talk and explain every detail. After each procedure, came by and was truly concerned about my health. A really great doctor.

I had knee replacement from this DR. I was taken to my room and left in a wheelchair. Overmedicated from the anesthesia which was Morphine. Dr. Young, never came to see me the entire time he was seeing other patients around me, An older physician, came in daily, he was not an orthopedic surgeon, I did not eat, I was disoriented and went home in three days, seeing insects on the ceiling, My knee did not heal quickly and the scar remains red. I was devastated. I had never had any experience like this for any surgery..no ever apologized or even mentioned this at any appointment...frightening event.

I would not choose this Doctor again. I still have the scars from my surgery. Watch out for him.
