Dr. John Curtis Zingheim, MD

He knows medicine and stays current, but has little interest in extra-medical lives of patients-after many years as my MD he knows virtually nothing about my life activities.

The first time I saw him he didn't even bother to read my chart. Then he started telling me things that he was going to do which had already been ruled out by 3 Sutter specialist. A couple of weeks ago, it took me 25 phone calls plus a trip to his office, to talk to a med. tech., about renewing 2 old scripts. Then, it took me 2 trips to the Rx since he had not completed his paperwork to them.

Irrate , I would not recommend.

He is the most coldest and unsocial doctor I have ever had, other than for what reason you are there but he never listen to you and rudely disconnect, he is just not a caring doctor and often his diagnosis are not correct

I am not a person that complains or has unrealistic expectations, but Dr. Zingheim was extremely cold and unfriendly. I asked about getting specific blood work done for some issues I've been experiencing and for some reason, this request caused him to get extremely frustrated and he literally began to yell at me and explain why that was an absurd request. I was in complete shock. I have never been mistreated by a doctor in this way. Please find someone else.

A horrible doctor and person

I would never recommend. Have had a family member and good friend see Dr. Zingheim and he was rude, cold and unhelpful - they have both since changed. I guess I'm a glutten for punishment as I continue my required 1x a year visit. When I do go in for something of concern (which is rare) - it is truly because I need a doctor. Everytime - no matter what it is - it is always 'lose weight and this will resolve!" Give me a break, yes being a little overweight causes issues, but everything is NOT tied to being a little overweight. It seems like he thinks he knows it all. It is already an anxious situation going to a doctor for someone who rarely goes (there is something wrong), but then to experience his BAD bedside manner - just makes it 100x worse!

The wait time to see this doctor was not a problem. I need a doctor who shows kindness and empathy in my visits. He was truly rude and unkind in his comments and I could hardly wait to leave and I would never want to have him as an attending physician in a time I was truly ill.

On my very first visit with Dr. Zingheim I knew I would never go back and never recommend him. I had just moved to CA and was in need of a doctor to diagnose a problem with severe swelling in my lower legs. My first mistake was taking information with me I had found on the web. I handed him the papers and he yanked them out of my hand and threw them back at me while yelling that there was nothing wrong with me that I was just fat. And that all fat women have legs that look just like mine. WRONG! Thankfully I have since found someone who recognized right away that there indeed is a big problem that needed to be addressed before I end up in a wheelchair from lack of treatment.

Have to agree, he is extremely rude and unprofessional when he calls back. He should never be the on call doctor. Maybe he is good to his regualr patients on a work day, but I can only describe him as angry at me for bothering him when the advice nurse decided to have him contact me. I didnt even ask to speak to a doctor. She (the nurse) was concerned and very professional.
