Dr. Johnny Issam Arnouk, MD

Went to this Dr due to extreme pain in my hip & knee & shooting down my leg. I brought recent xrays from clinic. He quickly looked at xray & read the report. He barely examined me (really didn't need to get into those shorts) & just looked at his computer screen. He was rushed & arrogant. I left with the feeling that he did not give me adequate time & attention. I knew I had to see someone else. Turns out the problem is caused by another area in my back. So Dr. Know It All simply wasted my time.

Dr Anouk quickly diagnosed my multiple problems, then offered treatments and alternatives. His suggestions have been almost instantaneously successful. He explains things very clearly and has an extremely pleasant bedside manner. I am so grateful to have found him.

Great First!!

I injured my knee skiing right before corona. I was sure I would need surgery. Doc assured me it was not my ACL. I did not need surgery. Just a brace. I am doing much better. Thanks to him.

I broke my foot at the worst possible time. The ER guy told me I would probably need surgery. Doc Arnouk told me otherwise and I’m now walking in a boot. He made my life much easier in these times.

Messed up my shoulder bad. He took care of everything. Back at the gym. Thanks again

He and his staff are on top of their game. Got me in, took care of me and all my paperwork. Got better and now back to work. Couldn’t ask for more. If you need a doc go see him

Dr arnouck told me what to expect after I tore my acl. I knew what would happen at surgery and after. Therapy went great after a few issues. I recommend

Had my shoulder dislocated and pop out all the time. It kept happening. I saw Johnny and he talked me through all the options. I tried rehab but it wasn’t working. He then talked me through surgery. I knew all the steps. I had surgery this past May and am doing great . I am working out and my shoulder is stable. He also recommended a great therapist. Great staff, great guy.

I tripped and fell and broke my left hand pointer finger. It is a small break. I went to Urgent Care first. They x-rayed it and put a splint on the finger and recommended I see my Orthopedist in 4 weeks. My ankle started to bother me and my regular Ortho couldn't see me right away. Dr. Arnouk at Mount Sinai Doctors was available right away. They took xrays of my finger and foot. My ankle was a minor sprain. Icing is helping. He looked at my finger. He talked me into feeling that a cast would be the best way to go. Sooo, he casted my left hand and arm, from almost the tips of my fingers to just below my elbow. This for a tiny break in one finger. Two days later my fingers were greatly swollen and I had pain in my arm. Also, the edge of the cast around my thumb was hard and pointed, digging into the thumb. This was on a Wednesday. I called his office. He was not in on Thursdays so I made an appt. for Friday morning. In the meantime I was afraid the swelling would get worse. It meant… there was no blood flowing into my arm and that means trouble. So I took a small scissor and chipped away at the cast and managed to break it off from around my hand and wrist. I pulled out the material under the rest of the cast and the protective glove that was on my hand inside the cast. I felt immediate relief. My thumb was very swollen and I had pain in my entire hand. I iced the hand. It helped a lot. Comes Friday and I see Dr. Arnouk. I say to him "I guess the cast was too tight. I gets very defensive. Says in a nasty way "No it was not, Maam, ( called me by my first name on our first visit. But now he was angry so I was Maam)" I never make a cast too tight." I let that go. No point in arguing. Then he lied and told me he had tried to call me to tell me to keep my arm raised and ice it. He NEVER called! I was home all day. If he got my answer machine he could have left a message. I asked him what could cause the swelling. He didn't know. He removed the rest of the cast. Then he said the splint was okay to use. Also when I told him the edges of the cast around my thumb were sharp and showed him pictures of that. He shrugged and said "Well that is the cast". What??? I showed him pictures we took of my swollen fingers. He just looked and nodded. No concern, no comment. I also showed him picture of a casted hand that did not include all the fingers and asked him why he didn't do that. He gave me a convoluted reason that made no sense. He probably figured I am a stupid layperson and would buy whatever story he told. I am done with him, of course and I suggest people think twice before going to Mt. Sinai Doctors.
