Dr. Johnny Arruda, MD

Simply put, Dr Arruda saved my son’s life. He is a very caring physician. I can not say enough about this. Thanks to him and the Lord, my son is a 26 year head and neck cancer survivor.

Dr Arruda is a good doctor he gave me good information and the ability to talk to him again. and he gave me other options as well.

Dr Arruda is very knowledgeable and professional. He has excellent bedside manners. I could tell he cares about his patients. I suffered from severe sinus congestion and infection (off and on for many years). After he performed the surgery I could finally breathe well. I would recommend him to anyone needing ENT treatment or surgery. Thanks Dr Arruda!

I saw him the first time a year ago. My appointment that I had to book three months in advance was moved up two weeks by the urgent care doctor due to the increase of my severe tinnitus symptoms in one ear. I heard Dr. Arruda complaining in the hall about having me first thing in the morning, earlier than the regular start time. When he came in, he refused to read the chronology I had written that highlighted my problems over last three months. He told me I probably had a form of Meniere's Disease based upon my symptoms and outlined some aggressive treatment. After another three months, during which I had tests, his diagnosis was unsupported. I suggested, as I had at the first appointment, perhaps I had TMJ. He considered it at this point and referred me to the TMJ specialist. She diagnosed me correctly. I am glad I wasn't going deaf after all, but it would have saved me A LOT of anxiety(weight loss, sleeplessness, hair loss, angst over job retraining)if he would have explored the TMJ… possibility along with the disease probability in the first place, or waited until the tests came back before made a guess..A year after the first appointment, he was abrupt and uninterested in the diagnosis of the problem of the ear I originally saw him for, but was more interested in the congenital deafness of the other ear which I have lived for half of a century with. I am accustomed to the deafness, I would like I would like the ringing to stop.

Dr. Arruda, did not share with me the results of my tests. He gave me a diagnosis and then I ordered my results and discovered a diagnosis he left out. After two years of suffering I was treated for the condition he did not mention and my symptoms have finally declined. He may be okay if he diagnoses you correctly the first time but he is not willing to reevaluate and consider that he may be wrong.
