Dr. Johnson Tai Wong, MD

Dr. Wong, his NPs, & nurses are terrific. I wish I can say the same for some of his front office staff, particularly Gloria & a relatively new woman whose name I didn't get. I've been routinely ignored, received curt answers to my questions, & feel that I'm being tolerated, at best -- experiences I haven't had at offices of my other physicians. No patient should feel like an inconvenience, particularly those who are pleasant and undemanding. I have also witnessed patients left in the waiting area without consideration. Seeing an allergist requires periods of waiting; however many front office staff do nothing to help patients understand this and simply ignore them until patient frustration sets in. Some staff have are unsympathetic to patient needs & seem to be more concerned about getting office work done than paying attention to patients who haven't been through this experience. This is too bad, since Dr. Wong provides expert care.

Dr Wong is one of the great physicians you come out of the office and think, "Wow! That was totally worth the wait!" He is very thorough going over your history, symptoms, treatment options, etc. He is very knowledgeable (which we assume with any physicians but sometimes not true) and when you ask questions, significant or insignificant, he will address and discuss with you. Flip side of that is waiting time. Since he does not rush out the patients you may have a bit of wait in the waiting room. But when you are in the room with him, going over your nagging allergies or asthma or whatever, you have 100% of his attention and you come out his office with solid plans. I have recommended him to my friends and they are happy as well.

I love Dr. Wong for his accurate diagnosis and his bedside manner. Oftentimes he spends too much time with a patient and as a result he has a scheduling problem. I've been a patient of his for a number of years and found his treatment to be helpful. I'm no longer a patient of his because my allergies improved and I no longer need monthly shots.
