Dr. Jomarie Zeleznik, MD

Dr. Zeleznik is the most wonderful eldercare doctor I could ever hope to meet. Her level of caring is unusual among doctors. She is always available by phone, even during unusual hours, and always made room for visits when requested. My 98 year old father-in-law just passed away after several years under Dr. Zeleznik's care, and he loved her. Her wide-ranging expertise was impressive, and when she hit her limit, she found good specialists for us to talk to. One story in particular: my father-in-law had a problem that required a specialist, and we were very worried that the specialist would require an in-office visit, which would have been almost impossible. Dr. Zeleznik wrote a detailed letter outlining his condition, lab tests, and recommendations. The doctor did a video visit, read the letter while we were on the video, and basically said, 'her recommendations are spot on. I'll write the prescriptions.'

This doctor is incompetent, money-hungry and extremely litigious. She told my friend he was dying of cancer and then “rescinded” the diagnosis. She charged him insane amounts of money for terrible treatment. Finally, she sued him. It would be comical if it were not tragic. RUN.

If I could give zero stars I would. She is the worst Human being to walk this planet. She does not care about the patient or the cost to the patient. Rude is an understatment, maybe she should go back to school for manners. Doesn't matter how smart you are when your a mean person.

She’s a terrible human being. I wouldn’t let her treat my dog. My experience with her was traumatizing. Her care for patients is nothing short of abuse and she should have her license taken away.

She's great. We love her.

One of the most rude doctors I've had to deal with. She'll just yell and not even listen to what you have to say. Very self absorbed.

Several years ago, my 90 year old mother, home bound, had an emergency. Her doctor at the time dismissively said to bring her to the emergency room and he would talk to the doctors there. My mother emphatically insisted that she would not go to the hospital and I could not budge her. Her doctor would not come to her. I went online to find a doctor who would be willing to come to her apartment. By great fortune, I came upon Dr. Zeleznik. I called her. she immediately responded, and came to see my mother within a few hours. Since then, she has been an extraordinarily responsive, understanding, patient, professional and empathetic doctor for my mother. We've had various emergencies and Dr. Zeleznik has taken calls and talked to my mother at all times, and has even on occasion come to her apartment late at night to evaluate and treat her. She is always available to talk with my mother, or with my sibling or me, to listen to new or recurring problems and consider how to treat them, and has… always shown great respect for my mother, her care taker and my family. I do not understand the negative comments on this site; without fail, Dr. Zeleznik has been a life-saver for my family and I am deeply grateful to her.

This Doctor attitude is very nasty. She don't no how to speak to her patients. She need to re-elevate herself and maybe look into another profession. I wont recommend you have her as a physician until she gets a training on patient service. You will regret your experience. You have been warned.

Dr. Z became my elderly mother's doctor when I transferred my mom to her present nursing care facility. From the onset, Dr. Z expressed great interest in getting to know all that she could in order to best help my parent receive all of the necessary medical and other services/attention that she needed and deserved. Dr. Z even goes the extra mile, as she includes me in what developments there are in my mother's health, be it physical, psychological, or emotional. I can reach her as needed (something that I do not abuse), and she returns calls, generally within less than half an hour, at times longer, depending on her schedule (which is reasonable and understandable). I find Dr. Z to be professional, well educated, a good listener, and most of all, I KNOW that she cares about my parent and views her as a PERSON and not as a "case". In my book, Dr. Z is a 5/5 score doctor.I left question 2 a - c unanswered because they do not pertain to us since my mom is not an out-patient.

The staff is horrible, no respect for elders, yells at patients, my most horrible experience ever at doctors office, would never go back again.
