Dr. Jon Ivar Einarsson, MD

Dr. Einarsson is excellent, knowledgeable, and made surgery anxiety free. His entire staff is very organized, warm and kind. I would highly suggest going to him for Endometriosis. I found him after I went to another well known physician who did not present as he writes about himself and his patients in his book. It was a very disheartening experience for myself and my family. I was pain free by day 2 of my surgery with Dr. Einarsson and his team. I can't say enough about my experience with the Brigham system. They treat the patient. The ease of this team was incredible. This has been a very stressful disease with various other Physicians for me over many years. From my first appointment, pre-op, surgery, and after has been exceptional. I was excited going in to surgery.. Dr. Einarsson is top notch! For the first time in 10 years I am pain free!

Dr. Einarsson did my surgery to remove ovarian cysts and Endometriosis. He is very professional and very knowledgeable. He explained very well about my status, his suggestions of treatment and the details about the surgery. He was very patient about our questions and spent decent amount time with us to make us feel comfortable and well informed. His staffs at his office are also nice, easy to work with and very organized. I felt so lucky that I found him as my surgeon and will definitely recommend him.

Dr. Einarsson performed my surgery in aug 2012. Normally i prefer female Mds, but his kindness and his willingness to so bloodless surgery without trying to guilt me into taking blood sold me. 4 other Drs told me I would need traditional surgery and i didn't.

I went in for laparoscopic surgery and came out with more chronic pelvic pain than I had before because of what I have been told by others is due to a now damaged pelvic floor. Turns out one of the reasons I went to see him in the first place was for something inside my uterus that couldn't even be seen during laparoscopic surgery anyway. So now I have yet another pelvic pain problem. Also, the office staff were rude, especially the reception staff, when I had problems after surgery, and I also remember a nurse as I was coming to post-surgery telling me in a rude voice that I didn't even have much endometriosis, like I was wasting her time. Maybe others have been luckier than I, but I truly regret having surgery with this doctor. My pain was cyclic before, but in the months since surgery it is every single day and much, much worse than I even thought possible.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr Einnarson .. He and his staff are of the best of the best . I had to have a hysterectomy and was very nervous until I met him even my husband who does not like Dr's loves him . He is so professional, caring, empathetic , and best of a wonderful surgeon . I would highly recommend him ;)

Dr. Einarsson gave me back a life without pain. Local doctors had tried to surgically work with my endometriosis, but it proved to be too difficult for them. Due to the severity of my case, Dr. Einarsson, was able to fit me into his schedule quickly and my recovery time was far quicker than expected. He was very kind, as was the entire staff at Brigham and Women. It is such a comfort to know that we have one of the best medical facilities in the world here in New England. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Einarsson!

He removed firbroid from a very unsual location with no damage to my system. wishe I had seen him earlier. Highly recomended.

Dr. Einarsson is confident, talented and compassionate. He performed my 2nd surgery for endometriosis and removed a deeply embedded fibroid laporoscopically. My incisions are small, my recovery was AWESOME. After my first surgery (different Dr. that didn't do half the work that he did) I was laid up for 5 days unable to walk and so swollen I looked 6 months pregnant. After surgery with Dr. Einarsson I was at target the day after surgery (probably overdid it a bit...but I felt SO good). This doc is a rare gem! It takes a while to get in with him I think I waited 2-3 months...but it was WORTH it.

Easiest surgery and recovery that I could have hoped for. Highly recomended and respected.
