Treated for kidney stones. Said surgery only way to "repair/anchor" floating kidney & scarred ureter, which he said caused stones. During surgery he dropped a stone back into my kidney. While I recovered in hospital he ordered an ultrasound to find the wayward stone, no matter how extremely painful the procedure would be. He came to hospital in swim trunks as he was going paddling afterwards. He denied stone was in kidney. It was.Had his brother do lithotripsy. Pain to this day. wish i had sued

Dr Lattimer was my urologist for about 15 years. He saved my life 20 years ago. When I was in the Emergency Room with an ordinary kidney stone from my right kidney, he happened to be passing through and saw the x-ray, and said there is something wrong with this other (left) kidney. I was not aware of any problem. He noticed a large tumor distorting the view of the kidney - when no one was even looking for a problem. The ex-ray tech had not noticed the problem or distortion. Dr. Lattimer and team soon removed the kidney and they found it was a renal cell carcinoma, that had not spread. If it had not been found at that time, it would have eventually spread to other parts of the body, and not been found until it caused major problems, then it would have probably been too late. He continued as my doctor for regular checkups.
