Was referred by another OSMC doctor. Wanted another MRI done that OSMC imaged stating, "they sometimes miss things." Also wanted 6 weeks of in-house therapy redone after an unsuccessful 6 weeks. Unfortunately you have to twist doctors arms to wake up and think a little bit. It seems OSMC would rather string you along and see how much money you'll spend.

Was patient with my questions, giving a thorough description of procedure before and after meniscus arthroscopy. Consultation with another area orthopedist was such a thoroughly negative and unhappy experience that I approached Dr. Smucker with something near dread, so bummed that I almost decided to give up, a delay that would probably have led to knee replacement sooner rather than later. Instead, thanks to Dr. Smucker and the team at the OSMC Surgery Center in Elkhart I'm now on the path back to pain-free mobility. If you've felt like a part on an assembly line at other ortho clinics or been bullied by gruff ortho docs who become impatient and even rude at your questions, you'll like Dr. Smucker and OSMC.
