Dr. Jon Jay Soble, MD

Very disappointed that Unity Peoria let Dr. Jon Soble go? I was honestly impressed with his care, and could tell his experience was very good. Glad I was able to see Dr. Jon Soble up till I had HD Brachytherapy he had highly recommended due to my diagnosis findings over low dose Brachytherapy. When I had a consultation with a referral oncologist with OSF for what they were wanting to do which was the low dose with the permanent seeds, Dr. Soble wanted me to call him when I got out with the outcome of the appointment. He made sure the receptionist knowing the time of my appointment to call him and said the receptionist will notify him even if he is with a patient to briefly talk to me over the phone. (Which that impressed me) He was glad I had chosen his suggestion. Went with assigned oncologist to have the HD Brachytherapy procedure done instead followed by 5 weeks of HD Radiation.

Dr. Soble is a great doctor. His mannerism has a little to be desired. Stop and listen to him, he will start you in the correct direction of healing and recovery. Wish I could find him. He left Peoria IL and no one knows where he is.

Dr. Soble was totally stresses out at every appointment. His staff was very inept. Nurse had me down as having a vagina, and that clearly is not the case. He couldn't fire the inept staff, and was totally over worked. Unity Point is the failure, not Dr. Soble

3 out of 4 appointments were cancelled by office

This guy needs a drug test, First he lied to me telling me there would be no out of pocket so I cancelled my other appointment with a doctor in S.L.O He was continually combative and jewel and Hyde throughout the entire ordeal. When I arrived for the procedure once he had supposedly numbed me he began breathing me while I was on the table about how he shouldn't be doing the procedure since I had taken the medication that was supposed to calm me down an hour early, ignoring the fact that that had ZERO to do with the pain and his incompetence loosing one end of my noodle the whole time I'm writhing in pain in a puddle of blood. To add insult to injury this guy sells my supposed 200 dollar 'debt' to a collection agency without ever telling me I owed him a penny after the time limit of malpractice had expires\d, a real class act . Look closely into his eyes if you meet him ,someone needs to be reported to the California med board or whoever people like him answer to. Ill never give up… until he's cleared my credit and name .

Go anyplace else , at least have him take a drug test , something is truly wrong with this guy. He actually told me on my first visit that he had negative reviews because people had tried to get him to write false perscriptions . I arrived and waited for my surgery , he was late getting to me, I ended up writhing around on a table in a pool of blood while he berated me the whole Time as he tried to find the 'other end' .This Doctor is incompetent in my opinion. Today I found a collection notice sent to a collection company from his little shop of horrors , its 3 years old. I never received a bill or a phone call and my numbers the same

He has a great personality and took plenty of time with me. Explained everything . Worked very well with my schedule. An excellent experience.

During a lapse in health coverage (change in job and coverage for us both) and finding ourselves having to pay cash for medical care during a health emergency, My husband had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Soble after a horrible experience with another urologist in the area. Not only did Dr, Soble treat us with respect, I left the office with no new answers regarding the medical issues but with a sigh of relief that my husband was going to be taken care of. After a month of nightmares with the other doctor, I was able to finally get a good night's sleep, confident that Dr. Soble would see him through this health scare. Nurse Tami was amazing also. The world needs more medical professionals like Dr. Soble and Tami!!! I cannot convey my happiness in words enough. It was such a breath of fresh air to find a doctor and staff that were so down to earth and willing to help us out during this time in our lives. THANK YOU!!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Jon Soble by my G.P. for a urological problem. Due to other problems Dr. Soble ordered a CT scan where cancer was discovered on my right kidney. There has been chemo, radiation and major surgery at UCLA since that time. I am now doing well with ongoing care from several doctors, including Dr. Soble. He has proven to be a caring, responsive physican. He is generous with his time and will focus on your specific questions and concerns., I have had to contact him on his days off as well as a couple of late night phone calls and he has responded quickly. We usually manage to share a couple of laughs during an office visit. His office staff is accommodatimg and willing to work with you on scheduling appointments.

I saw Dr. Soble on the recommendation of my primary doctor after having a negative experience with another urology practice in the area. This was definitely a change for the better.Dr. Soble took the time I needed to review my CT scan with me, so I could better understand my condition and options, and then make an informed choice about treatment.The procedure went without a hitch. Knowing what to expect made a tremendous difference in terms of my confidence and the successful outcome.I have no reservations about recommending this doctor to family or friends.
