Dr. Jon Sands Tyrell, MD

Has a history of aggressive behavior. Threatened to flatten my tires if I did not move my car from a public metered space. Manipulated my tires while I was in the car. Reported. Ordered to complete anger management. Occurred in manhattan beach parking lot.

Went in for a follow-up visit yesterday post-op. While waiting for the doctor the nurse came in and removed my bandages to check my incisions. While that's all fine, she ripped off my waterproof bandage so fast and hard that it took bits of my skin with it. At the time I thought the burning was just from the quick ripping of the bandage, but once I got home I discovered my skin was leaking clear fluid and bleeding. Since no new bandages were applied, particles of clothing got stuck to this mess and trying to clean it off resulted in an immense burning pain. Now I have to apply 4 extra bandages around my incision where my skin got peeled off. My incision doesn't even hurt as much as my skin does. Doctor did a great job for me surgically, just didn't think I'd leave his office in more pain and with additional wounds. Nurse needs to be more careful. Rating is for the nurse.

Dr Tyrell is the best. He removed my thyroid because I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He is caring, has great skills and his staff at his office is great too.

Wonderful Doctor!!I just had surgery with Dr. Tyrell; he carefully went over everything that would happen, and he was friendly and accurate!Gosh, to find an MD, let alone a surgeon, with a good sense of humor, is wonderful!

I was treated and operated on by Dr. Tyrell through the ER. He was wonderful. Excellent daily hospital vistits and wonderful post-op care. His office staff was courteous and very accomodating. Dr. listens to your concerns and is very caring. I would highly recommed Dr. Tyrell to anyone. :-)Excillent Dr.
