Simple colon resection led to ileus or small bowel obstruction. X-rays never showed which. Question remained, but never did a CT scan. 7 days after surgery mom died due to infection which led to sepsis. Never did a CT to find out what was going on. Never informed patient's family that there was need for worry.

So disappointed! No bedside manner very cold and uncaring, no correct pain relief ( my prescription meds read, for mild 1-6 scale, really!!!), and his office was horrible as well, expecially his asst Shawn! So upset over this that I decided not to go back for my 3 week out post op.. Would not recommend at all!!!!

While I have no issues with Dr. Wiese's surgical skills, I take extreme issue with the fact that he used a surgical assistant group that was out of my insurance network. Unacceptable. I am now stuck with a VERY LARGE bill from them. I mean VERY LARGE!!! I entered this surgery believing that I was covered through my insurance. I realize that there are always certain services that may not be paid in full or at all, but I was never told that the surgical group didn't even accept my (Very common and accepted by almost everyone) insurance. Looking back - one of Dr. Wiese's office employee's had me sign forms - one of which told me what medications to stop prior to surgery. In smaller print, at the bottom, there is a disclaimer about certain services that may not be covered and that you assume all responsibility. Why hide that disclaimer on a form that doesn't even discuss that? Why??? Because they know that you would go to someone else if you knew that he uses surgical assistants… from a different group and that you would pay many thousands of dollars. DON'T SIGN THE FORMS WITHOUT ASKING WHAT GROUPS HE USES!!!! Then investigate yourself and change doctors if need be. Things like this is Why Orlando Health is in such a mess.

This guy should not be practicing medicine. No bed side manner, no pain relief before incision, not pain meds given, not atibiotic for infection. No follow up call. Simply left open wound on elderly patient. Pathetic.

Dr. Jon Wiese was easy to meet with and discuss the findings of my ultrasound on my gallbladder. I was looking for someone who could explain what needed to be done and have excellent skills for an optimum outcome.He was highly recommended by both my General Practitioner and my insurance company.*Explained in easy terms about the surgery to remove my gallbladder. Laparoscopic would provide a better healing process.*The staff co0rdinated a date for surgery quickly and kept me informed at my request. In addition linked me to the hospital for my work up needed prior to surgery.*Day of surgery went text book.*Got me right in when I had questions on healing prior to my follow up check up made for two weeks out.*This Doctor is consistent, kind, and caring. I will be referring him to anyone who is in need of a GREAT surgeon.* My advise is to research with your GP doctor before you go to any surgeon, have questions, and make sure he is skilled. Dr. Jon Wiese was all this very professional.

Uncaring, unfriendly, does not explain what was done in surgery, felt from his demeanor that I was wasting his time, office too hot and astere, hated having to go to his office for sugery followup visits. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SURGEON NOR WOULD I EVER USE HIS SERVICES IF I HAD TO HAVE SURGERY AGAIN.

Dr. Weise did my gall bladder surgery as well as a surgery on my pancreas due to 2 cysts on the organ that kept reaccumulating with fluid. I had positive experiences everytime I had to see him. Very kind man and an excellent Dr. I would highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Weise for everything you have done for me.

Dr. Wiese did my gall bladder surgery. The surgery went well but the follow up was so poor I ended up with a serious wound infection which resulted in rehospitalization and subsequently an additional serious infection (C-diff). His bedside manner was cold and uncaring and frankly he did not want to be bothered with this patient.
