Dr. Jonah B. Hulst, MD

Dr. Hulst is a fantastic listener and does a great job presenting realistic explanations of options. I did not fell pressured at all. I feel like he presented reasonable options and realistic outcomes and now we will proceed. I’ll add more as my treatment progresses.

I visited dr Hulst as “a second opinion “. He introduced himself , was very courteous, thorough explaining everything and made sure I agreed and understood the diagnosis and possible first steps to treat my condition. He also did a thorough examination before giving his opinion and laid out clearly the next possible steps two and three. I felt I was heard and respected. I appreciated him NOT going straight to the step three as if that was the only option I had at this point. Dr Hulst gave me a hip “injection” and the pain was gone immediately. Thanks to his expertise and knowledge and CORRECT DIAGNOSIS ! Thank you dr Hulst and Veronica. What a great team! He was warm and listened to me. He diagnosed me correctly

Dr. Hulst has been great. When it seemed like none of the doctors I was seeing seemed interested in helping me, he took the time to clearly lay out an action plan to help diagnose and eventually treat my issue. 5/5!!!

Accurate diagnosis

Dr. Hulst is an excellent doctor - informative, kind, thorough and on time with appointments. My knee surgery went very smoothly and I am so glad I selected him to do the operation!

Excellent discussion, as always, with Dr. Hulst. Options carefully put before me and he is meticulous in his desire to ensure I understand exactly what is going on with my symptoms.

He failed to advise me on the possibility of a metal allergy and didn't run any diagnostic tests after severe post surgery problems--he told me my I was the type of person who gets a lot of scar tissue--so I had the difficult task of finding another surgeon who would help me, and most won't even see you for year after initial TKR surgery. It turned out that I was allergic to the nickel prosthetic he used on me, so I had to have the prosthetic replaced, which entailed a revision surgery. Afterward I discovered the same thing has happened to countless other people. Also, he didn't use computer guided surgery and removed ligaments, unlike other doctors, and misled me when I asked him before surgery if he used minimally invasive procedures like my friend's surgeon. He recommended surgery for me when my problem was an extruding meniscus and I did not have bone on bone. I wish I had not trusted him and done the research I did after surgery before I accepted his recommendation.

Such a great human being. He was personable, informative, very pleasant, and quite patient. One couldn't ask for a better person to be on their side when navigating orthopedic options. Thank you kindly sir.
