Not prepared for visit. Sent tests and filled out his office documents, pertaining to my medical history. First question he asked. What can I do for you today. All downhill from there. Next he had a technician attempt to scope my nasal cavity. First she didn’t know how to turn on the machine. Next she couldn’t see any images as she’s now starting to scope me. Then she realizes that she needs to turn the light on the probe. He reached across me and turned the machine on. Has anyone ever had a probe ran through their nasal cavity? It’s not as pleasant as it sounds. After awhile, she couldn’t get the scope where it needed to go. Ouch ….. This is when he took over. After all this, nothing was positive about getting me help to solve my health problem. Months later now, and we have scheduled another ENT. Requested these test results, and guess what. We are fighting with his office to get them. Being a UPMC insurance customer, and having multiple tests sent right into my UPMC app. This… office will have none of it. They want a document release, before any of this happens. A month later and here we sit waiting. I’d beware of this whole office, staff and of course the Dr. He made and confirmed our initial assumption that we were putting him out by these menial tests and tasks. Don’t be fooled by the number of titles after his name. I’ve been doctoring with UPMC doctors in a variety of fields. This however was embarrassing for UPMC. For us, we just marched on in hope to find the right doctor. One last note. I do not get any pleasure out of writing this scathing review. Potential patient’s need this honest and sincere information. As does UPMC.

Too confident and too arrogant. He made me feel like it's my fault that I am not feeling the way he wants me to feel. He definitely did not spend enough time with me to reach the correct diagnosis,

Provider seemed unprepared for my visit. Very dry and bland personality. Visit felt rushed. We traveled a couple of hours for the appointment and expected and deserved a better visit. He could not help me nor did he really offer or seem interested to try to help. Would not recommend.

Dr. Johnson makes me feel like I am part of the treatment, i.e. my opinion matters. I have always been treated like a person w/ a disease and not just a disease.

Dr. Johnson's diagnosis, surgical skills, post surgery treatment and follow ups saved my life.
