I usually rate Rothman doctors above many of the competitors. However, Dr. Matzon is an exception to this rule. My wife, who is disabled and needs to use her hands and wrists for stability, is still experiencing high levels of pain levels weeks after her surgery. Dr. Matzon claims he does not believe in pain medicine and told my wife to just take aspirins. Dr. Matzon showed no compassion for my wife's disabilities and the challenges caused by her pain. Dr. Matzon made his money and closed out my wife's treatment.

Competent, professional, personable

Dr. Matzon is a caring and highly skilled surgeon. I feel very well cared for.

Have used a number of Rothman docs so I naturally went to their hand and wrist doc, Dr. Matzon. He was punctual and had a true concern to ascertain the problem and recommend a treatment.

Was very pleased with Dr Matzon. The surgey went well and I have no more pain!!

Dr. Matzon had explained the procedure that would happen with the recovery of my finger wound. I was shocked what he told me how my finger would heal. My bone was visible through the muscle tissue of my finger. My finger was caught in a commercial fishing winch I had to pull it out or I would have lost my finger. He told me the options and I asked him what he would do if he was in my position. I'm a career Firefighter and a commercial Fisherman. His advise for the treatment was accurate and I had confidence in his treatment. The wound I suffered has almost completely healed in the time frame he predicted along with an accurate description that he explained would happen during the healing process. I would advise anyone with a hand injury to consult Dr Matzon.

Dr gave me shot in wrist and told me if I chose surgery on finger to remove cyst and arthritis, there was no guarantees they wouldn't come back.

Dr. Matzon was very professional and listened intently. He was very gentle, as well. My trigger finger felt perfectly normal after about two weeks just as he predicted. I am very pleased and will certainly recommend Rothman Institute to others.

Dr. Matzoh was fabulous! He listened to my needs and was very comforting! My wrist was severely broken and after surgery it was back to normal!
